The Baltimore Orioles are gearing up for a thrilling season with a revamped roster that's set to make waves in the fiercely competitive AL East. With fresh talent in the mix, the Orioles are definitely a team to keep an eye on as the season kicks off.
A key player to watch is starting pitcher Trevor Rogers. Last season, despite being limited to 18 games due to injury, Rogers was nothing short of spectacular when he took the mound.
That's it for Trevor Rogers today vs. the Rays, and it was another strong spring start.

He posted a stellar 1.81 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a 5.5 WAR, striking out 103 batters over 109.2 innings. Opponents struggled mightily against him, managing a mere .180 batting average.
Rogers, who spent 4.5 seasons with the Miami Marlins before being traded to Baltimore in 2024, initially faced challenges with the Orioles. However, he has since turned his performance around in a big way. If he can maintain his health, 2026 promises to be a standout year for him.
In a recent spring training game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Rogers showcased his dominance, allowing just one hit over three innings while striking out three. Reflecting on his performance, Rogers told Orioles beat writer Jake Rill, “I would say I’m probably halfway there.”
Should Rogers continue his 2025 form, the Orioles' rotation, featuring Kyle Bradish, Shane Baz, and Chris Bassitt, could become a formidable force.
Rogers also addressed past criticisms labeling him a "bust," sharing, “It was remarkable really, just how the start of the trade went, you know, the media aspect of all of it. It being a quote on quote ‘bust.'
Deep down, I know what I could do. I knew this organization was going to help me.
Unfortunately, it took a little bit longer at the beginning of it, but I'm right back to where I knew I could be. I'm in a really good spot.”
With Rogers hitting his stride, the Orioles are poised for an exciting season ahead.
