Ike Irish just delivered the kind of night that turns heads fast.
The Orioles prospect piled up four hits and six RBIs on Sunday, both career highs, while powering High-A Frederick to a 17-6 win over Greenville at Fluor Field. It was the second two-homer game of his professional career, and easily the loudest performance he’s put together so far.
Irish, Baltimore’s first-round pick from a year ago and the 19th selection in the 2025 Draft, got involved early even before the power showed up. In the third inning, he chopped a two-out grounder toward first base and beat the play to the bag on a collision-filled sequence with Greenville second baseman Maximus Martin. He stayed in the game and later came around to score Frederick’s first run on a Creed Willems double.
Then the damage started.
Irish opened the fifth inning for the Keys with a two-run homer to right field, turning on a pitch to kick off a five-run frame. He kept rolling in the sixth, lining a single into center field that drove in another run. In the seventh, he went deep again, this time on a three-run shot to left-center.
By the end of the day, Irish was 4-for-7 with his 14th and 15th homers of the 2026 season. The first baseman/catcher is also riding a strong stretch at the plate, hitting safely in five straight games and stacking up four multi-hit efforts during that run. Over his last 12-for-26 stretch, he’s pushed his season line to .279/.383/.511.
