Baltimore's Rotation and Injury Updates: A Closer Look

Baltimore’s manager, Craig Albernaz, has unveiled the starting rotation, setting the stage for an intriguing lineup. Kyle Bradish is set to take the mound on Sunday against the Washington Nationals, following in the footsteps of Opening Day starter Trevor Rogers, who will face the Minnesota Twins on Saturday.

Next up, Shane Baz will showcase his skills on Monday against Washington at Nationals Park. He’s also slated to wrap up the series against the Twins next week. Rounding out the rotation, Chris Bassitt and Zach Eflin are scheduled to pitch against Texas on March 30th and 31st.

Injury Updates

In the bullpen, relief pitcher Keegan Akin is dealing with an adductor injury, commonly known as a groin strain, while outfielder Heston Kjerstad is nursing a hamstring issue. Both players are set for MRIs on Monday to assess their conditions further.

Meanwhile, outfielder Dylan Beavers, who experienced right knee discomfort and was pulled from Friday night’s game against the Yankees, is being cautiously sidelined. “We’re taking it light with him,” Albernaz explained. “We’ll use these days to get him recovered and see where it’s at.”

In personal news, outfielder Taylor Ward will miss the Nationals games as he welcomes his third child, a healthy baby boy weighing in at 10 pounds, 7 ounces. Congratulations to the Ward family!
