In Athens, Georgia, freshman sensation Tsvetomir Ereminov delivered a standout performance on the Platform, clinching the final spot for the 2026 NCAA Championships in Atlanta. With four days of intense competition at the Gabrielsen Natatorium, head diving coach John Fox successfully guided five athletes to qualify for the NCAAs. Juliette Landi (1-meter), Chloe Brothers (Platform), Emily Hallifax (Platform), Ethan Swart (1-meter), and Ereminov (Platform) will all vie for national titles in their respective events.
During the prelims, junior Talan Blackmon made waves with a score of 351.65, placing him ninth after six dives. Swart followed with 343.30 in 14th, while Ereminov was initially in 16th with 339.65.
However, Ereminov wasn't fazed by his preliminary standing. He delivered a jaw-dropping 394.65 in the finals, highlighted by an impressive 84.80-point dive, propelling him to seventh place and securing his ticket to the NCAA Championships.
Blackmon wrapped up the competition in 11th place with a combined score of 709.10, while Swart finished 15th with 685.45.
The 2026 Women’s NCAA Championships kick off on March 18 at the storied McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where head coach Ryan Wochomurka will lead a team of 10 athletes. The Men’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will follow on March 25 at the same venue, with Wochomurka and his team also fielding 10 competitors.
