Bo Nix had a simple response after his 62-yard touchdown run helped turn Sunday’s game in Glendale in the Broncos’ favor: “You believe me now?”, Nix quipped.
That burst in the second quarter gave Denver a 13-6 lead, and the Broncos never gave it back on the way to a 30-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals. For a team that has spent much of the early season under a microscope, Nix’s long run became the play that cracked the game open.
Afterward, Nix broke down the touchdown as a product of how Arizona lined up and how Denver executed around him.
“We had sort of a three-level shot on the right and they were playing man to it and so they all ended up on the other side of the field and o-line gave me a nice crease there and then everybody else just sort of kept their guys um occupied while I while I ran and there was a lot of space and I was just really hoping to get in the end zone.”
Nix finished with 222 passing yards, one touchdown pass, and 73 rushing yards to go along with the scoring run. Denver’s fifth win of the season came with plenty to like, but Nix wasn’t ready to pretend everything was clean.
“Still several things that we would like to get better at,” Nix said.
“The several penalties that we didn’t love. Some of the four minute [offense] there at the end we didn’t look very smooth and clean at times, but overall, we had a big win over a tough team on the road.
And so it was really good for us. We just got to keep improving and keep getting better and taking it one game one game at a time really.”
Nix also took a moment to talk about the crowd, noting how much Broncos orange showed up in Arizona. At times, State Farm Stadium had the feel of a Denver home crowd, and Nix said that stood out.
“It was uh really nice to see our fans show up to an away game like this,” Nix said. “You know, a non-what do you call it?
[cross divisional] conference game. So just for a normal game in Phoenix, it was really cool to see them show up. and a lot of orange in the stands.
Never been a huge fan of red being an Auburn guy with Alabama and Georgia. So, it was nice to see a lot of orange in the stadium.”
The Broncos are back next Sunday afternoon, when they host the Kansas City Chiefs in a key AFC West matchup.

Lane Kiffin Made A Serious Auburn Accusation After LSU Win
The aftermath of LSUs win at Auburn carried an extra layer of scrutiny after Lane Kiffin said he believed Tigers defenders were trying to use a hip-drop tackle on LSU tight end TreyDez Green. Green, who had just returned from a lower-body injury, was active throughout the game and made his presence felt with five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown, but the contact he absorbed clearly became part of the story once the game was over.
Hip-drop tackles have already been banned by the NFL because of the injury risk involved, which is why Kiffins comment drew immediate attention beyond the usual postgame noise. Greens workload tapered off late, and the concern around his usage added another wrinkle to a physical night in Auburn that LSU was happy to survive, even if the conversation afterward drifted well past the final score. Lane Kiffin Just Dragged Auburn Into A Bigger Postgame Debate
Lane Kiffin turned a routine postgame conversation into something bigger when he singled out Auburns defenders for using hip-drop tackles against LSU tight end Treyd ez Green. Green was taken out of the game amid concerns about those tackles, a technique still not banned in college football, and Kiffins comments pushed the focus beyond the final score and into the way the game was being played.
The more interesting part for Auburn is how Kiffin framed the late-game choices from his own sideline, too. He said he put starting defenders back in despite the injury risk, pointing to player requests and the kind of mentality he wanted from his team, which only added another layer to the debate over where toughness ends and unnecessary danger begins. Auburns LSU Collapse Put One Alex Golesh Question Front And Center
Alex Golesh didnt try to soften the blow after Auburns 38-17 loss to LSU, putting the offensive problems squarely on his own shoulders. He said the game plan wasnt effective and pointed to missed tackles on defense as part of a night in which Auburn gave up 552 total yards while finishing with just 271 of its own.
The broader concern now is whether the Tigers can clean up enough in a hurry before a road trip to Ole Miss. Auburn managed only 67 rushing yards against LSU, and Golesh made it clear the fix has to come through better strategy and sharper execution, two things the Tigers will need if they want to avoid another lopsided result.
