Auburn’s Avery Glynn Named NCEA Fences Rider of the Month for November
AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn junior Avery Glynn just added another accolade to what's shaping up to be a standout season, earning the NCEA Fences Rider of the Month honor for November. It’s the second time this fall she’s taken home monthly honors, having already been named the Flat Rider of the Month back in October.
This latest recognition also marks her second career Rider of the Month nod for Fences - her first came earlier this year in March - and it’s well-earned. Glynn didn’t just ride well in November, she dominated.
In Auburn’s two meets during the month, Glynn was named Most Outstanding Performer over Fences in both competitions. She posted a 91 against South Carolina and followed that up with an 89 against Georgia.
Those rides weren’t just impressive on paper - they were clutch. Glynn secured a point in each ride, helping Auburn take down two of the top teams in the country.
The Tigers beat No. 2 South Carolina 13-6, then turned around and handled No.
1 Georgia 14-6 in back-to-back statement wins.
The impact? Auburn surged to the top of the NCEA rankings heading into the winter break.
Glynn finishes the fall with a flawless 6-0-0 record in Fences - a perfect slate that speaks to her consistency, poise, and ability to deliver under pressure. In a sport where margins are razor-thin and every point counts, that kind of performance is what separates elite riders from the rest.
The Tigers, now sitting atop the national rankings, will return to action on January 31 when they travel to UT Martin. That meet will take place at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex in Martin, Tennessee, as Auburn looks to carry its momentum into the spring.
But for now, it’s Glynn’s moment - and she’s earned every bit of it.
