Auburn Tigers Stun Fans With Major Leap in Gymnastics Rankings

Auburn's gymnastics team climbs to No. 15 with impressive performances as they gear up for a crucial showdown against Missouri.

The Auburn Tigers gymnastics team is on the rise, climbing to No. 15 in the rankings with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.603. Fresh off a whirlwind weekend, Auburn posted impressive scores: a 196.975 at home against Michigan State and a season-high 197.200 at the Elevate the Stage event.

At the top of the gymnastics world, Oklahoma holds strong with a 197.967 NQS. LSU follows closely at No. 2 with a 197.897, while Florida has jumped to No. 3 with a 197.593. Rounding out the top five are Alabama (197.508) and UCLA (197.431).

The Southeastern Conference is well represented in the top 25, featuring Auburn alongside Georgia (No. 6), Missouri (No.

7), Arkansas (No. 8), and Kentucky (No. 22).

Auburn's vault team shines at No. 11 with a 49.206 NQS, and their beam team isn't far behind, ranking 12th with a 49.231. The floor squad has also made strides, now sitting at 19th with a 49.242 NQS.

On the individual front, junior Julianne Huff is making waves, ranking 13th in the all-around after delivering back-to-back scores above 39.5. Her NQS stands at 39.395, highlighted by a 39.525 and a 39.500 over the weekend.

Junior Paige Zancan is turning heads on vault, securing the 18th spot nationally with a 9.895 NQS. Meanwhile, sophomore Marissa Neal is making her mark, tied for 24th on beam with a 9.895 and 25th on vault with a 9.880.

Looking ahead, the Tigers are set to conclude their regular season with a face-off against No. 7 Missouri.

The showdown is scheduled for Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m. CT in Neville Arena and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
