Auburn, Ala. - With a brief break in SEC play on the horizon, Auburn softball (19-10) is gearing up for midweek clashes against in-state rivals South Alabama (19-11) and Jacksonville State (20-8). These games offer a chance to sharpen skills and maintain momentum.
Co-head coach Kate Malveaux emphasized the importance of staying focused. “It’s a quick turnaround,” Malveaux noted.
“We’re concentrating on rest and minor tweaks. Playing our game is key, regardless of who’s on the other side.
That mindset keeps us steady through highs and lows.”
The Tigers hit the road Tuesday to face South Alabama at Jaguar Field in Mobile, with first pitch at 5 p.m. CT, broadcast on ESPN+. Radio coverage will be provided by JJ Jackson on WEGL 91.1.
Returning home Wednesday, Auburn hosts Jacksonville State for Fan Appreciation Night at Jane B. Moore Field, starting at 6 p.m.

Auburn aims for a sixth consecutive win against Jacksonville State, maintaining a perfect 13-0 home record against them. This marks Jacksonville State’s first visit to Auburn since 2023.
