Auburn, Ala. - After a solid West Coast swing, the Auburn softball team (13-4) is back home and ready to host the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament.
This weekend, they’ll face off against Troy (12-2), No. 11 Virginia Tech (11-2), and USC Upstate (10-2) at Jane B.
Moore Field.
Co-head coach Chris Malveaux is gearing up for a challenging weekend. "Troy always brings their A-game, especially being an in-state rival," Malveaux noted.
"USC Upstate is off to a hot start, and Virginia Tech's reputation speaks for itself. We need to focus on our game and prepare for what’s ahead."
The tournament honors Dr. Jane B.
Moore, a trailblazer for women’s athletics at Auburn. The field was named after her in 2002, and her legacy continues to inspire.
Auburn kicks off the action with a "Thursday Throwdown" against Troy at 6 p.m. CT.
Friday features a doubleheader starting with another matchup against Troy, followed by a clash with Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. CT.
Saturday is all about celebration as Aubie’s birthday coincides with two more games. The Tigers meet Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m.
CT and then face USC Upstate at 4 p.m. CT.
Aubie’s Kids Club members are invited to join the birthday festivities starting at 12:30 p.m. CT.
Sunday wraps up with a game against USC Upstate at 11:30 a.m. CT. Afterward, kids ages four to 15 can participate in "Softballs from the Sky," catching foam softballs dropped from a helicopter in a unique world record attempt.
Fans should note that Biggio Drive will be closed temporarily after the final out until the helicopter event concludes.
This marks the fifth year of the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament, with Auburn holding an impressive 18-1 record in previous editions.

Returning from a 4-2 stint at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in California, Auburn showed their mettle with a victory over No. 14 Oregon and a record-tying six home runs against California.
Senior Destiny Rodriguez is leading the charge in RBI, with 21 to her name. Her power at the plate is evident, having already matched her previous career home run total in just 16 games with Auburn.
In the circle, the team’s ace has been dominant, ranking fourth nationally with seven wins and fourth in the SEC with 48 strikeouts. Her 2.08 ERA leads the team, showcasing her ability to consistently deliver under pressure.
