AUBURN, Ala. - The stage is set for an exciting showdown as No. 5 Auburn (7-1) prepares to host Nebraska (4-3) at Plainsman Park.
This marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs, with games scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. CT, Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Head coach Butch Thompson is treating this matchup as a valuable test for his squad. “This is going to be a SEC-type weekend.
It’s going to be a rehearsal,” Thompson noted. “We’re facing a solid baseball club for a three-game series.
It’s about preparing to play good baseball.”
