Auburn Makes Big Impression On 5-Star Lineman

Young star lineman Kweli Fielder is thrilled by Auburns standout culture and coaching, positioning the school as a top contender in his recruitment journey.

Kweli Fielder's recent visit to Auburn was nothing short of electrifying for the five-star offensive lineman. Describing the experience as a “12 out of 10,” Fielder was clearly impressed by what he saw during Auburn's practice session on Saturday.

Fielder, a standout in the class of 2028, was particularly taken with the coaching staff, highlighting the dynamic presence of offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick. “Coach is gonna be a coach sometimes, you can really feel the way he coaches,” Fielder noted, emphasizing the impact of Hudanick, along with analysts Chris Kapilovic and Parker Ball. He called them a “dynamic trio” that significantly boosted Auburn's appeal.

This visit marked a pivotal moment in Fielder’s recruitment journey. As a top-tier prospect, ranked No. 16 overall and the third-best offensive tackle by 247Sports, his interest in Auburn is a big win for the Tigers. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, the Carrollton, Georgia native is already turning heads as a rising junior at Carrollton High School.

Fielder was particularly impressed by the team's on-field communication. “The way they talk to each other, the way they motivate each other, is such an amazing thing.

Communication is so key in football and that’s just amazing. I feel like my personality fits their program,” he shared.

While Auburn has yet to secure a commitment from the 2028 class, Fielder’s visit has certainly put them in a favorable position. He expressed a strong desire to return for a game this fall, though he remains open to other possibilities, with Ohio State and Florida also on his radar.

As Fielder gears up for his junior year, Auburn's new coaching staff has clearly left a lasting impression. “It was just so amazing,” he said, reflecting on the visit. Auburn has made a significant move in the race for this talented tackle, but the competition remains fierce.
