Auburn Lands Massive 7-Foot French Center

Auburn's basketball roster gets a major boost as 7-foot French center Narcisse Ngoy joins the team, poised to strengthen the front court with his impressive skills and team-first attitude.

Auburn's basketball team is gearing up for an exciting season with the addition of 7-foot French center Narcisse Ngoy. With KeShawn Murphy out of eligibility, the Tigers were on the hunt for a strong presence in the front court, and Ngoy fits the bill perfectly.

Ngoy has been making waves in the French Elite 2 League, where he's been a force to reckon with, averaging 10.8 points per game. His dominance on the boards is evident, leading the league with 11.5 rebounds and swatting away 2.5 blocks per game. This kind of performance is exactly what Auburn needs to bolster their lineup.

Head coach Steven Pearl couldn't be more thrilled about the signing. “We’re excited to welcome Narcisse Ngoy to our program.

He’s a high-upside young man who brings toughness, physicality, and a team-first mindset to everything he does,” Pearl shared. It's clear that Ngoy's presence will be felt on both ends of the court.

His knack for catching and finishing around the basket, combined with his rim protection, makes him a perfect fit for the Tigers' needs.

Even with Murphy's departure, Auburn's front court is shaping up nicely. Ngoy will join forces with young talents like Filip Jovic and Sebastian Williams-Adams, both of whom showed promise as freshmen. Emeka Opurum is also expected to return after missing much of last season due to a medical issue.

Pearl highlighted Ngoy's dedication to team success, noting, “What stands out the most is his commitment to winning. He’s not focused on individual numbers-he takes pride in doing the hard, physical work that helps his team succeed. He competes at a high level, processes the game well, and understands how to play within a system.”

With Ngoy in the mix, Auburn fans have plenty to be excited about as they look forward to the upcoming season. His addition could be a game-changer for the Tigers, setting the stage for a dynamic and competitive year on the court.
