Week 4 is here, and the Auburn Roundtable crew is sticking with the weekly SEC picks as the college football chaos rolls on.
The standings remain tight at the top. Zac Blackerby and Christian Rauh are both sitting at 37-3, Trey Lee is 35-5, and Michael is 34-6.
The biggest spotlight games this week start with Texas at Tennessee. Zac has Texas winning 28-21, while Christian sees a narrow Longhorns road win at 24-21. Trey expects Tennessee quarterback Faizon Brandon to get his toughest test yet against the Texas defense, with the Longhorns taking over after halftime.
South Alabama at Kentucky drew a lot of confidence in Lexington. Zac picked Kentucky 31-13, Christian went with Kentucky 38-17, and Trey also backed the Wildcats, 35-10, after what he called a huge win against A&M. Michael, though, took South Alabama to cover.
At Ole Miss at Florida, Christian is buying into Florida as more than a one-week flash after the Auburn game, saying the Gators can capitalize on Ole Miss missed tackles and win 31-24. Michael also backed Florida, while the listed result had Ole Miss winning 37-24.
Oklahoma at Georgia brought a wide range of confidence in the Bulldogs. Zac took Georgia 28-14, Christian called for a 36-14 Georgia win, and Trey said this is Georgia’s first real test of the season before it turns into a blowout in the third quarter. The listed score had Georgia winning 45-27.
Auburn’s own matchup with Vanderbilt is getting plenty of attention. Zac picked Auburn 27-21, Christian called it a must-win after the Florida loss and predicted a 38-24 Tigers win, and Trey said Auburn finally avenges the last two years against Clark Lea and the Commodores. Michael, however, took Vanderbilt to cover.
South Carolina at Alabama also has the group expecting a fight. Zac chose Alabama 35-24, Christian said South Carolina could make things uncomfortable if it gets pressure on Alabama’s young signal caller and picked the Tide 27-21, and the listed result had Alabama winning 42-24. Michael again leaned toward the underdog to cover.
Texas A&M at LSU sets up another bounce-back spot. Zac went with LSU 27-17, Christian said both teams are trying to recover from heartbreaking losses but chose the home team, 31-23, and Trey backed LSU as well, saying the Bayou Bengals will get back on track with Sam Leavitt. The listed score had LSU winning 34-21.
Missouri at Mississippi State has the crew split between the Tigers and the Bulldogs. Zac picked Missouri 24-21, Christian called it one of the highest-scoring games of the weekend and backed Mississippi State 42-31, and Trey said Mississippi State’s defense will make the late stop to stay undefeated. The listed result had Mississippi State winning 28-21.
Finally, Tulsa at Arkansas is another game where the pressure is obvious. Zac took Arkansas 27-21, Christian said he was surprised to see Arkansas favored given how both teams have played and still picked the Razorbacks to win 30-21, and Trey warned that Fayetteville could be nearing Chad Morris-level bad before taking Tulsa to give the Hogs a scare. The listed score had Arkansas winning 17-10.

Auburn's O-Line Shuffle Is Putting Fresh Pressure On One Freshman
Auburns offensive front left plenty to clean up after the Florida game, where the Tigers gave up seven sacks and never found much traction on the ground. First-year head coach Alex Golesh and offensive coordinator Joel Gordon both pointed to ongoing adjustments up front, a sign this is still very much a work in progress as the staff tries to settle on the right mix.
At the center of that shuffle is true freshman Wilson Zierer, who made his first start and drew notice for the way he handled the challenge. There were inconsistencies, as you would expect from a young lineman thrown into a difficult spot, but teammates also came away impressed by his work ethic and attitude. Homecoming was already set to bring a tricky matchup to Jordan-Hare Stadium, and now Auburn has another layer to sort through.
