Auburn Gymnastics Tied for 12th Nationally After Week 5, Eyes SEC Showdown with Kentucky

After five weeks of action, Auburn gymnastics finds itself tied for 12th in the national rankings, according to the latest update from RoadToNationals.com. The Tigers posted a team score of 196.050 in their recent meet in Athens, Georgia, which nudged their season average to 196.494-good for eighth in the always-loaded Southeastern Conference.

Let’s put that in perspective: the SEC is once again proving it’s the heavyweight division of collegiate gymnastics. Oklahoma still holds down the No. 1 spot overall with a 197.725 average, but the SEC isn’t far behind.

Florida climbed to No. 2 (197.575), with LSU hot on their heels at No.

3 (197.519). Alabama and UCLA round out the national top five, with the Crimson Tide sitting at No.

Auburn is one of five SEC squads in the top 15, joined by Georgia (No. 6), Missouri (No.

7), Arkansas (No. 10), and of course, Florida and LSU. That kind of depth makes every week in the SEC a high-stakes test-and Auburn’s holding its own in the thick of it.

Event Rankings Show Strength Across the Board

Auburn’s vault squad continues to be a bright spot, tied for ninth nationally with an average score of 49.219. On beam, the Tigers sit 12th with a 49.150 average, while their floor team checks in at No.

15 (49.231). These rankings reflect a team that’s consistently competitive across all four events-even if there’s still room to climb.

Neal and Huff Leading the Charge

Individually, sophomore Marissa Neal and junior Julianne Huff are making their mark in the all-around. Neal currently sits 20th in the country with an average of 39.292, while Huff isn’t far behind at No. 24 with a 39.263.

Neal has also been a steady presence on beam, tied for 26th nationally with a 9.875 average. Junior Alex Irvine isn’t far behind her, tied at No. 29 with a 9.867. On floor, Huff continues to shine, coming in at No. 27 with a 9.892 average-a testament to her consistency and ability to bring the crowd to its feet.
