Falcons Fans Just Got A New Way To Watch Key Games Locally

Atlanta News First enhances its sports broadcast lineup with a significant ESPN partnership, bringing live Atlanta Falcons games to local fans beginning in 2026.

Atlanta Falcons fans in Atlanta will have another local way to watch select games starting in 2026, after Atlanta News First and ESPN struck a simulcast agreement that covers at least two confirmed matchups and could expand beyond that.

The deal gives Atlanta News First broadcast rights to four of the city’s major professional teams, with the Falcons joining a lineup that already includes the Hawks, Braves and Dream. The games will air locally on WANF, while ESPN produces the simulcasts.

The first confirmed broadcast comes in Week 4, when the Falcons visit the New Orleans Saints in a Monday night game on Oct. 5, 2026, at 8 p.m. That matchup will also be shown nationally on ESPN.

Atlanta News First will also carry the Falcons’ Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. That one will be played in Madrid, Spain, and will also air on NFL Network.

There is also a chance for a third Falcons game in 2026. If the Dec. 26 meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lands on NFL Network, it would be added to the local simulcast slate. Looking ahead to 2027, any Falcons game carried nationally by ESPN or NFL Network would also be shown locally on Atlanta News First.

“Falcons football is part of the fabric of Atlanta, and we’re proud to bring these games to fans on Atlanta News First,” said Erik Schrader, general manager of Atlanta News First. “This partnership strengthens our commitment to local sports and gives viewers another way to watch some of the biggest games on the Falcons’ schedule. From the Falcons to the Hawks, Braves and Dream, we’re focused on widening access and delivering coverage that matters to Atlanta fans.”

Falcons Rookie Is Already Forcing A Tough O Line Decision

James Brockermeyer has spent the spring making himself hard to ignore in Falcons camp, and for an undrafted rookie center that is no small feat. He has earned first-team reps and put himself into the conversation for the backup job behind the starter, a spot that was supposed to be a straightforward depth role when Atlanta brought in Corey Levin.

Bill Callahans presence only adds to the intrigue, because the Falcons offensive line coach has clearly seen enough in Brockermeyer to keep giving him a longer look. With training camp still ahead, Atlanta does not have to make the call just yet, but the rookies rise has already turned a routine competition into one of the more interesting decisions on the offensive line. Falcons Rookie Is Suddenly In The Middle Of A Real Camp Battle

Vinny Anthony II arrived in Atlanta as one of several undrafted free agents the Falcons added after the 2026 NFL Draft, and he has already done enough in rookie minicamp and OTAs to get noticed. The wide receiver out of Wisconsin is in the mix as training camp opens, with his work giving the coaching staff another option to sort through as the roster starts to take shape.

Anthonys path is made a little more interesting by the fact that he can help in more than one way, which is exactly the kind of trait that can keep an undrafted rookie around longer than expected. He has been part of the Falcons return man rotation this spring and can also line up as a gunner, but the real question now is whether that early buzz can carry through the rest of camp and keep him in the conversation for one of the final receiver spots.
