Robinson, 38, has been steadily climbing the coaching ranks since transitioning from his playing days. A former NFL quarterback, he spent time with the Bengals from 2011 to 2013 and also had short stints with the Patriots, Seahawks, and Lions. While he never made a major impact under center, his football IQ and understanding of offensive systems have helped shape his coaching trajectory.
He got his coaching start with the Rams in 2019 as an assistant quarterbacks coach, working closely with Sean McVay’s staff in a system known for its quarterback-friendly design and heavy use of motion and play-action. Robinson later added assistant wide receivers coach to his résumé before being promoted to quarterbacks coach in 2022. That role gave him a front-row seat to the development of young signal-callers and the inner workings of one of the league’s more innovative offenses.
In 2025, the Falcons brought him in as offensive coordinator under new head coach Raheem Morris. While Atlanta’s offense didn’t light up the scoreboard - finishing 24th in points per game - there were flashes of balance and creativity.
The unit ranked 14th in total offense, powered by a strong ground game that finished 8th in rushing yards. The passing attack, however, lagged behind at 19th, reflecting some of the inconsistency under center and the growing pains of a new system.
For the Eagles, who are looking to recalibrate their offense after a turbulent finish to the 2025 season, Robinson presents an intriguing blend of modern offensive philosophy and quarterback development experience.
