Dolphins Stun Fans by Signing Former Falcons Punter

Veteran punter Bradley Pinion brings his talents to the Miami Dolphins, adding depth and experience to their special teams lineup.

The Miami Dolphins are making moves to bolster their special teams, signing veteran punter Bradley Pinion. At 31, Pinion brings a wealth of experience to Miami, having been a steady presence in the NFL since being drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round out of Clemson back in 2015.

Pinion's journey through the league has been marked by consistent performance. After completing his rookie contract with the 49ers, he explored free agency for the first time and secured a solid four-year, $11 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, as the final year of that contract approached, the Bucs decided to part ways, leading Pinion to join the Falcons for the 2022 season.

His time in Atlanta proved fruitful, earning him a three-year, $8.65 million extension. In the 2025 season, Pinion demonstrated his reliability by playing in all 17 games, boasting an average of 45.1 yards per punt over 64 attempts. His ability to control field position was evident, with 34 punts landing inside the 20-yard line and a booming long punt of 69 yards.

Pinion's signing with the Dolphins represents a strategic addition to their roster, aiming to enhance their special teams unit with his proven leg strength and precision. Fans can look forward to seeing how his veteran presence impacts Miami's game plan in the upcoming season.
