Brian Robinson Jr. Just Raised The Stakes For Atlantas Hot Offense

As Brian Robinson Jr. spearheads the Falcons' offensive resurgence, the team prepares to measure their progress against the formidable Ravens' defense.

Brian Robinson Jr. has helped spark the Atlanta Falcons’ best offensive stretch in years, and he says there’s still plenty more in the tank.

Atlanta rolled past the New Orleans Saints with a performance built on balance and control, and Robinson was right in the middle of it. He ran for 62 yards on 14 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns, setting the tone as the Falcons seized control early and kept it.

The ground game was relentless. Robinson and Bijan Robinson teamed up to pile up 207 rushing yards and five touchdowns, leaving New Orleans with little answer for Atlanta’s attack.

“Just staying ahead of the sticks, being super efficient with the run game, and around it,” Robinson said. “I feel like me and B have just been doing a great job of just keeping the run game very efficient, and that obviously helps everything else around it.”

That outing was part of a broader surge for Atlanta, which has now won back-to-back games after a rough opening to the season. Robinson has scored four touchdowns over the last two games, giving the Falcons a steady force alongside Bijan as the offense has found its rhythm.

Michael Penix Jr. has added another layer to the equation. Against New Orleans, he completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown, making it tougher for defenses to key in on one phase of the Falcons’ offense.

“Definitely,” Robinson said when asked if the passing game has opened things up on the ground. “I feel like they know they got to respect us.

They gotta respect our run game. They got to respect our pass game.

So, to leave them guessing, they don’t really know what to expect.”

Even with the offense humming, Robinson made it clear the Falcons aren’t interested in lingering on one good week.

“We never want to get complacent, man,” Robinson said. “Regardless of what we did last week, after 24 hours, we flush it, and we got a new week ahead of us.”

That next week brings a fresh test against Baltimore, and Robinson says Atlanta’s ceiling depends on keeping the same approach.

“Sky’s the limit, man,” Robinson boldly stated. “We can be as good as we want to be, long as guys continue to come in week in or week out and improve.”

For now, the Saints game stands as the clearest example yet of what this Falcons offense can become when the run game and passing game are both firing. The challenge is carrying that formula into Baltimore and extending the momentum Atlanta has built over the past two weeks.

Matt Ryans Falcons Role Is Already Turning Heads Around The NFL

Matt Ryans return to the Falcons has already become more than a ceremonial homecoming. Atlanta brought him in as president of football, a role built around oversight rather than day-to-day control, but he has been present in the places that matter most, around practices and in meetings as the team puts its football operation together.

What has stood out around the league is how seriously Ryan has taken the job after leaving his CBS broadcasting role to commit fully to the Falcons. NBC Sports Chris Simms pointed to that level of involvement as something different from the way some former players handle executive titles, and it is the kind of detail that is already shaping outside perceptions of Atlantas front office. Falcons Get A Very Different Test Sunday Than Anyone Expected

Sundays matchup against Baltimore is already taking on a different shape than the one the Falcons likely spent the week preparing for. The Ravens are moving forward with a change at quarterback, and head coach Jesse Minter said he feels good about Tyler Huntley stepping in if needed, which shifts the spotlight for Atlanta from a familiar star to a backup with a much different profile.

Baltimore is also dealing with a notable absence on the edge, with Trey Hendrickson expected to sit because of a finger injury. For the Falcons, that means the challenge becomes less about surviving the version of the Ravens everyone knows and more about adjusting on the fly to a game plan that may look considerably different by kickoff. Falcons May Need Kendal Daniels More Than Ever Against Baltimore

The Falcons have spent the early part of this season sorting out how best to use their second linebacker spot, leaning on rookies Kendal Daniels and Harold Perkins Jr. in different situations depending on the matchup. Daniels has drawn the nod when the priority is stopping the run, while Perkins has been asked to handle more of the coverage work, giving Atlanta a flexible but still evolving answer behind its front.

With Baltimore looming, that rotation feels more important than ever. Coach Jeff Ulbrich has been asking Daniels to absorb multiple defensive responsibilities as the Falcons try to match up with physical run games and backs like Derrick Henry, and Daniels has also seen work on the defensive line as part of that broader plan. For Atlanta, the question is less about whether the rookies can help and more about how much of the burden each one will carry when the opponent forces the issue on the ground. [Read more 🡒]
