Since the Wild Card round is a best-of-three, there is no real need to carry more than three starters, but the Braves still want multiple innings available if the series goes sideways. That is where JR Ritchie, Didier Fuentes, Dylan Dodd and Victor Mederos come into play.
In the bullpen, Robert Suarez makes the cut even if he has looked a little rusty, because he has shown he is healthy. Ray Kerr is also in, with the Braves already discussing him as a left-handed opener in the postseason.
