ATLANTA -- The Braves’ prospect picture got a fresh look Thursday night, and the biggest headline is a new name at the top.
Eric Hartman now leads Atlanta’s updated Top 30 prospects list, with the outfielder joining a group that includes seven players selected in last month’s 2026 MLB Draft. The Braves have also produced two of the past four National League Rookies of the Year and currently have three players ranked among MLB’s top 60 prospects.
Hartman is ranked No. 42 overall by MLB, followed by left-hander Cam Caminiti at No. 43 and Tate Southisene at No. 60.
A.J. Gracia and Alex Lodise round out the top five.
Hartman was the biggest mover on the list. He jumped from No. 20 in the preseason to No. 1 at midseason after putting together a huge year at High-A Rome.
In 94 games, the 20-year-old hit 24 homers, stole 38 bases and posted an .889 OPS. He has since been promoted to Double-A.
A 20th-round pick in the 2024 Draft, Hartman had a much quieter .718 OPS at Single-A Augusta in 2025.
The steepest drop belonged to Garrett Baumann, who fell from No. 12 to No. 24.
The 6-foot-8 right-hander struggled at Double-A, where he logged a 5.40 ERA in 11 starts. After moving up to Triple-A, he posted a 10.48 ERA and 8.62 FIP in seven starts before being sent back to Double-A.
His 21.7 percent strikeout rate and 10.8 percent walk rate have also pushed expectations down.
The new list is loaded with fresh draft additions. Gracia checks in at No.
4, Jensen Hirschkorn at No. 6, Kaiden McCarthy at No.
7, Carter Beck at No. 14, Jack Brenner at No.
19, Ryne Barker at No. 24 and Cole Dennis at No. 27.

Braves Fans Have A New Pitching Turnaround To Watch In Columbus
Columbus has been getting a better look lately at the kind of pitching performance that can change a night, and Garrett Baumann was at the center of it in the latest round of minor league action. Across the Braves system, the Gwinnett Stripers, Columbus Clingstones and Rome Emperors all had games that featured a mix of power at the plate and starter-driven tempo on the mound, with Columbus especially giving local fans something to track beyond the box score.
The Clingstones backed that up with enough offense to keep the pressure on, and Jordan Groshans was a big part of the result with a homer and three RBIs.
