The Atlanta Braves are stepping up their game in terms of accessibility for fans, thanks to a new multi-year partnership with Gray Media. This agreement will bring 25 regular-season games to Gray television stations across what’s affectionately known as Braves Country, in a simulcast with BravesVision, the team's own television platform.
Raycom Sports, part of Gray Media, has been tapped to handle the full season of non-national games for BravesVision, providing comprehensive live production services. The excitement kicks off on Opening Day, Friday, March 27, when the Braves face off against the Kansas City Royals at 7:15 p.m. ET.
Derek Schiller, President & CEO of the Atlanta Braves, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the team's commitment to making Braves baseball as accessible as possible. "From Opening Day to the final out of the season, our goal is to make Braves baseball as accessible as possible," Schiller said. This new venture with Gray Media is set to enhance the viewing experience for fans, offering more ways to catch the action.
Hilton Howell, Executive Chairman and Co-CEO of Gray Media, echoed this excitement, highlighting the deep-rooted connection between Braves baseball and the Atlanta community. "Braves baseball has been part of the fabric of Atlanta for 60 years," Howell noted. This expanded relationship aims to celebrate that legacy by bringing games to free, over-the-air television, allowing fans to share in the excitement all season long.
The simulcast will span 24 markets across six states, making it one of the largest home television territories in professional sports. Fans in Atlanta can tune in via Atlanta News First (WANF 46.1) and Peachtree Sports Network (WPCH 17.2), with additional coverage throughout the Southeast on Gray's network of broadcast stations. Select games will also appear on some Southeastern affiliates, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and CW.
