Arkansas Recruiting Momentum Keeps Building With Another 2027 Commitment

The Arkansas Razorbacks continue to build a formidable 2027 roster with the commitment of Texas linebacker Bryce Breeden, marking their 23rd addition to the class.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are on a recruiting roll, snagging their 23rd commitment for the 2027 class with the addition of Bryce Breeden, a linebacker from Bridge City, Texas. The 6'1", 210-pound Breeden made his decision public on Friday evening, choosing the Razorbacks over other notable programs like Arizona, TCU, Purdue, Northwestern, and Michigan. It's a significant win for Arkansas, as Breeden is rated an 86 three-star by 247Sports.

Breeden's journey to Fayetteville was marked by a visit during the Razorbacks' final summer recruiting event. The defensive coordinator Ron Roberts and inside linebackers coach Cannon Gibbs played pivotal roles in bringing him to The Hill. Interestingly, Breeden made official visits to all his top choices, except Michigan, which speaks volumes about his interest in the Razorbacks.

This commitment adds to Arkansas' impressive recruiting spree, marking their 16th new commitment since the end of May. Breeden also becomes the second linebacker to join the ranks, alongside local talent Will Caston from Fayetteville High.

Arkansas initially extended an offer to Breeden on January 27, followed by an unofficial visit on April 18. He quickly locked in an official visit for June 19, and the Razorbacks' coaching staff, including Roberts and Gibbs, even made an in-home visit on May 13 to solidify their interest.

Before Breeden's commitment, the Razorbacks' 2027 recruiting class was already shaping up nicely with a balanced mix of offensive and defensive talent. The offensive side boasts players like quarterback Cason Myers from Auburn, Alabama, and running back Jeremiah Dent from Marion, Arkansas.

Wide receivers Jabari Watkins and Darion Moseley, tight end Parker Keenan, and a trio of interior linemen including Odaefe Oruru, Bradley Sturdivant, and Henry Frazier round out the offensive recruits. Offensive tackles Alijah Shaw, Judah Gumbs, and Teagan Parizek add depth to the line.

Defensively, the Razorbacks have secured commitments from interior linemen Mahonri Maiava, Eli Thornton, and James Stewart, edge rusher Keith Richmond, and linebacker Will Caston. The secondary is bolstered by cornerbacks Kevin Grant, Stanley Peters Jr., and John Catlin IV, along with safety Jameer Cantrell.

Looking ahead, the Razorbacks are still in the hunt for more talent. They're finalists for four-star wide receiver Alvin Mosley from Rosharon, Texas, who is set to announce his decision on Saturday evening. They're also in contention for three-star defensive back Rashaad Silver from Decatur, Georgia, with his decision expected next Wednesday.

The Razorbacks are clearly making waves on the recruiting trail, and with each new commitment, they continue to build a formidable class for the future.

Calipari May Have Finally Built Arkansas To Match College Basketball's Giants

Arkansas is heading into next season looking a lot less like a conventional college lineup and a lot more like the kind of roster that can bother almost anybody on the floor. John Calipari has loaded the Razorbacks with length at every level, from guards Jordan Smith, Jr., JJ Andrews and Abdou Toure to wings Billy Richmond III and Miikaa Murrinen, then kept adding size with frontcourt options like Cooper Bowser, Paulo Semedo and Ilia Frolov. Even before a ball is tipped, the physical profile is obvious enough to make Arkansas feel built to match the major programs it has to chase.

The most interesting part is how many different ways the rotation could take shape once the season begins. Smith brings elite guard status, Andrews and Toure add more size and talent on the perimeter, and Murrinen gives Arkansas a stretch forward who can do far more than just stand near the rim. Semedo and Bowser give the staff more bulk to work with inside, while Frolov adds another layer to the frontcourt mix, and the only real cloud hanging over the group is Isaiah Sealy's injury status. For a program trying to turn roster length into a real edge, the unanswered questions may be just as important as the size itself. [Read more 🡒]

Silverfield Just Raised The Stakes In Arkansas' QB Battle

Ryan Silverfield still has the Razorbacks quarterback race in front of him, and it remains one of the clearest pressure points on the roster as summer turns toward fall camp. The competition has narrowed to KJ Jackson and AJ Hill, two quarterbacks who each showed enough this spring to keep the staff from moving quickly, while also bringing different traits to an offense that needs the right fit before the season starts.

Silverfield expects the call to come around mid-August, giving the eventual starter enough runway to settle in before the opener. Jackson and Hill both made their case in spring work, and with camp practices ahead, Arkansas is still sorting out whether the job tilts toward Jacksons RPO style or Hills more traditional pocket approach. For now, the answer is still waiting to be written. [Read more 🡒]

EAs First Rating For New-Look Arkansas Will Fire Up Razorbacks Fans

With College Football 27 set to land July 9, Arkansas fans finally got an early look at how EA Sports sees the Razorbacks entering the Ryan Silverfield era. The new ratings show a program still trying to climb back into the SEC conversation, with the Hogs landing at 80 overall, a mark that puts them 46th nationally and gives them an interesting place in the games updated pecking order.

The Arkansas ranking will probably spark plenty of debate around the fan base, especially with the Razorbacks sitting 16th in the SEC picture. For a team introducing a new coach and a fresh reset, the number feels like both a challenge and a starting point, and it is the kind of first impression that tends to stick with players long after the early-access period begins.
