Arkansas’ recruiting board is getting a full summer workout at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, where several Razorback targets have spent the week stacking big numbers in North Augusta, S.C.
With 5-star guard Davion Thompson and 4-star center Caleb Ourigou already in the class, John Calipari and his staff are still hunting for more high-end pieces for the 2027 group. And the Peach Jam has given them plenty to track.
The loudest performance so far has come from Beckham Black, the younger brother of former Arkansas point guard Anthony Black. Black put together a huge all-around showing Wednesday, torching Thompson’s team for 37 points on 70% shooting, while adding five rebounds and four assists in an 86-69 win.
That kind of night only adds to the buzz around him. According to the 247Sports composite ranking system, he is the No. two overall recruit in the class of 2027 and the No. one point guard in the class as well.
Thompson, before his reclassification to the 2026 class Friday night, was having a strong event of his own. He averaged 21 points, five assists and two rebounds per game at Peach Jam, and his production put him among the top scorers in the 17U field as the sixth-highest scoring player at the event.
Thompson committed to Arkansas on June 10 over Vanderbilt, Michigan and Baylor. He entered the day ranked as a 5-star guard and No. 25 nationally in the 2027 cycle, though that standing could shift once recruiting services update their boards to reflect the reclassification.
The newest Arkansas commit, Ourigou, has taken a different path through the event: a steady, physical one on the glass. The 6-10, 240-pound center has averaged more than six points and 10 rebounds per game, and he was at it again in a 3OT win for the NY Rens.
In that 84-83 victory over the Florida Rebels, Ourigou finished with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 1 block in 37 minutes. He announced for Arkansas earlier this week over BYU, Kentucky and UConn, and is currently ranked No. 40 overall in the class of 2027 and No. 6 among centers.
He has also emerged as a possible reclass candidate as Arkansas looks to add more depth in the paint, an area Calipari’s team struggled with last season.
Devin Cleveland has also been putting together a strong week. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound point guard entered Peach Jam on a roll and has kept it going, averaging over 16 points, four rebounds and nearly four assists per game.
On July 14, he posted 26 points, six rebounds and four assists in Brad Beal Elite’s 70-66 win over the Indy Heat. Cleveland is listed as the No. 35 overall player in the 2027 class and No. 8 among point guards.
Henry, meanwhile, is giving Arkansas another reason to stay locked in. He recently revealed a top eight that included the Razorbacks, and he has continued to play well in South Carolina.
As of Friday night, he was averaging 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block per game. On July 16, he scored a team-high 27 points on 59% shooting in Vegas Elite’s 73-67 loss to Jet Academy.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound wing is ranked No. 4 overall in the 2027 class, No. 1 among small forwards and No. 2 in Arizona, according to 247Sports.

Arkansas Is Facing A Familiar QB Problem Fans Dread
For the first time in several years, Arkansas is heading toward Week 1 with real uncertainty at quarterback, and that alone is enough to make fans uneasy. The competition has settled into a familiar kind of August storyline for the Razorbacks, one that puts the spotlight back on a position that has too often defined how the season begins before a snap is even taken.
The program has been here before, and not all that long ago. The memory of the 2018 and 2019 quarterback battles still hangs over this one, because those summers brought their own twists, injuries and constant shuffling before the job was finally sorted out. Arkansas would love this race to produce a cleaner answer this time, but the longer it drags on, the more it starts to feel like the kind of problem Razorback fans know too well. [Read more 🡒]
Arkansas Has A New Reason To Dream Big At Peach Jam
Lewis Uvwo gave Arkansas plenty to notice at Nike EYBL Peach Jam, and the 5-star big man did it in the kind of way that tends to travel fast through the recruiting world. Ranked No. 6 in the 2027 class, Uvwo put together a triple-double performance that only sharpened the buzz around him as one of the top frontcourt targets in the cycle, with Arkansas already treating him like a priority for its next wave of talent.
John Calipari was on hand for the event, adding another layer to what is already shaping up as a meaningful recruiting stretch for the Razorbacks. Arkansas also had commits Davion Thompson and Caleb Ourigou in the building, which only deepens the intrigue around how the program could shape its future classes, especially with both players drawing attention as possible candidates to move up a cycle. Hunter Osborne Could Be Arkansas' Defensive Turnaround Catalyst
Hunter Osborne arrived in Fayetteville with a rsum that makes him hard to ignore, and Arkansas is treating the transfer defensive tackle like more than just another body up front. After stops at Alabama and Virginia, he brings experience, size and a feel for what winning looks like, which matters for a Razorbacks defense trying to rebound from a disappointing season and settle into a new scheme.
What has stood out early is how quickly Osborne has fit into the leadership side of the job. Arkansas coaches have praised the way he helps organize teammates and push the standard in the front seven, while defensive coordinator Ron Roberts has already been moving him around to find the best fit in the 3-4 look. For a defense searching for stability, that kind of versatility could end up being just as important as the production itself. [Read more 🡒]
