Arkansas Gets One More Reason To Circle Tennessee This Week

The Volunteers gear up for their first SEC road test of the season, sporting a striking all-white uniform that they hope will help break their away-game losing streak against Arkansas.

Tennessee will head into Fayetteville dressed in its classic all-white “Stormtrooper” look for Saturday’s Week 6 matchup at Arkansas.

The Volunteers’ social media account confirmed the uniform combination on Thursday, setting up Tennessee’s first road SEC game of the 2026 season in white helmets, white jerseys and white pants. The 15th-ranked Vols will try to carry the momentum from their big home win over Auburn in Week 5 into a tough conference road test.

Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. ET on SEC Network, with Tennessee and Arkansas meeting as SEC opponents for the second Saturday in October. Tennessee enters at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC, while Arkansas is 2-3 overall and still searching for its first conference win after dropping its first two league games.

The all-white look is a familiar one for Tennessee, especially at home, though the Vols also wear it in select road games like this one. Josh Heupel’s team will take that combination into a hostile environment as it tries to snap a four-game road losing streak against unranked Arkansas.

Here is exactly how Josh Heupel ‘s players will look come Saturday as they try to finally break through with a victory in Fayetteville:

With Tennessee’s uniform choice all settled for Week 6, the Volunteers will look to conquer the Razorbacks while wearing those all-white threads in hostile territory on Saturday. Caliparis Early Read On Arkansas New Guards Will Fire Up Fans

John Calipari has spent plenty of time around new faces this fall, and the early signs are enough to make Arkansas fans lean in. The Hall of Fame coach recently pointed to the work ethic and shooting gains he has seen from Jordan Smith Jr. and JJ Andrews, while also drawing comparisons to former players Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas. He also singled out Georgia transfer Jeremiah Wilkinson, whose shooting routine has clearly made an impression as the Razorbacks start to take shape under Calipari's watch.

The bigger picture is just as encouraging for Arkansas, because Calipari believes the roster has real NBA-level upside if the growth keeps coming. He has talked about confidence in the group and gone as far as projecting that several players could hear their names called in the draft someday. For a team trying to build not just a season but a standard, those are the kinds of early evaluations that can raise expectations fast, even if the real proof still has to come when the games begin. Arkansas Faces A Brutal SEC Test Against A Surging Tennessee Team

Tennessee arrives in Fayetteville with some momentum after bouncing back from its loss to Texas and handling Auburn, and that makes this feel like a difficult SEC measuring stick for Arkansas. The Volunteers, ranked No. 15, have shown enough resilience to suggest they are settling in again, while the Razorbacks are still trying to put together a steadier run after an uneven season.

DeSean Bishops recent play has been part of Tennessees upward trend, adding another layer to a matchup that already looks demanding for Arkansas. The Razorbacks will need a sharper showing to make this competitive, but the expectation around this game is that Tennessee has the edge, with a projected margin of at least two touchdowns.
