The Razorbacks are heating up at just the right time - and Ryan Silverfield is wasting no time putting his stamp on Arkansas’ future. On Monday, the Hogs made it three-for-three in a recruiting surge, flipping four-star athlete Terry Hodges from Missouri just days before national signing day.
Hodges, a 6-foot, 180-pound standout from Bryant (Ark.), had originally committed to the Tigers back on October 4. But after transferring from Marked Tree for his senior season and turning heads on the field, the in-state appeal - and a late, strategic push from Silverfield - proved too strong to resist. The timing couldn’t be more symbolic: Hodges made the switch just two days after Missouri topped Arkansas in the season finale.
This flip gives Arkansas its 16th verbal commitment in the 2025 class - a class that had just 13 pledges when Silverfield took over. And make no mistake, this wasn’t a one-off win. Earlier in the day, the Razorbacks also landed four-star defensive lineman Danny Beale and three-star linebacker Jakore Smith, adding some serious depth and talent to the defensive side of the ball.
Silverfield is showing he’s not just here to maintain - he’s here to build. And Monday’s recruiting momentum is a clear signal: Arkansas is serious about keeping top-tier talent home and rebuilding the foundation with players who know what it means to represent the state.
Keep an eye on what’s next, too. The Hogs are still in the mix for another big-time name - four-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr. out of Little Rock Central. If they can close that deal, this class could go from solid to special in a hurry.
For now, though, it’s clear: Silverfield’s first big recruiting splash is making waves.
