Ryan Silverfield’s first run through SEC life has already come with a wake-up call, and the road only gets steeper from here.
After Arkansas was blasted in Salt Lake City last Saturday night, the Razorbacks now turn to a home date with Georgia, a team that has looked overwhelming through its first two games. The Bulldogs have already wiped out Tennessee State and Western Kentucky by a combined 110 points, and they’re arriving in Fayetteville looking every bit like a national-title contender.

Kirby Smart’s team has looked sharp on both sides of the ball. The Gunner Stockton-led offense has been balanced, while the Georgia defense is starting to resemble the kind of unit the Bulldogs were known for in the early 2020s.
Arkansas, meanwhile, has not exactly built much momentum. The Razorbacks opened with an uninspiring 31-14 win over North Alabama, then followed it with a 43-10 loss at Utah that was never really in doubt. Taken together, the first two weeks have done little to quiet the sense that this could be a rough opening season for Silverfield.
