Arkansas Faces Big Baylor Test With NCAA Stakes

Arkansas returns to Texas with high hopes to shine at Baylor's prestigious Clyde Hart Classic, aiming for top regional rankings and NCAA qualifications.

Arkansas is back in Texas for the second weekend in a row, ready to compete at the Clyde Hart Classic hosted by Baylor on March 27-28. This meet features a diverse lineup of 14 schools, including Abilene Christian, Baylor, Huston-Tillotson, Iowa State, and more.

The Razorbacks are aiming to post top-48 marks in the West region, which would secure their spot in the NCAA West First Round, set to take place in Arkansas this May.

Friday's Events:

  • Long Jump: Heidi Hudson is set to showcase her skills in Section 2.
  • Pole Vault: Hannah Estes will compete in Section 1.
  • 200m Dash: Sanaria Butler, Asia Thomas, and Taejha Badal are racing in Section 3, with Ryan Jennings in Section 5 and Breagan Blowers in Section 7.
  • 400m Hurdles: Rae-Anne Serville takes on Section 1.
  • 1,500m Run: Madeleine Gear and Josphine Mwaura are ready to go in Section 1.
  • 5,000m Run: Josphine Mwaura is doubling up her efforts in Section 1.

Saturday's Events:

  • 100m Hurdles: Morgan Herbst opens in Section 1, followed by Simone Ballard in Section 3, and Saira Prince and Gabriella Cunningham in Section 4.
  • 4 x 100m Relay: Arkansas is all set to compete in Section 1.
  • 400m Dash: Abigail Campbell, Sanu Jallow-Lockhart, Arianna Sharpe, and Amirah Sharpe will represent in Section 1, with Saira Prince and Taejha Badal in Section 2, and Morgan Herbst and Asia Thomas in Section 3.
  • High Jump: Heidi Hudson, Maria Arboleda, and Savannah Byers compete in Section 1.
  • 100m Dash: Ryan Jennings is in Section 2, and Breagan Blowers in Section 3.
  • 800m Run: Madeleine Gear and Makenna Herbst hit the track in Section 1.
  • 4 x 400m Relay: Arkansas fields two teams in Sections 1 and 2.
