Arkansas and Ole Miss prepare for a thrilling SEC Tournament semifinal showdown, as both teams look to secure a spot in the championship game.

The stage is set once again as Arkansas and Ole Miss clash in the SEC Tournament, this time with a coveted spot in Sunday's championship game on the line. The action tips off at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville around 2:30 p.m.

(CDT), right after Florida and Vanderbilt wrap up their showdown. ESPN will be bringing all the live coverage.

Last year's encounter between these two teams was nothing short of a thriller. In the second round, Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile missed crucial free throws with just 7.4 seconds left, setting the stage for Ole Miss guard Sean Pedulla.

Pedulla nailed a deep three-pointer over Brazile, propelling the Rebels to an 83-80 lead with a mere 1.3 seconds remaining. Billy Richmond's last-ditch halfcourt attempt for Arkansas was close but not enough, allowing Ole Miss to advance.

Fast forward to this year, Ole Miss enters as the No. 15 seed after a tough 4-14 run in SEC play, including a 10-game losing streak from January 20 to February 25. Despite losing 12 of their last 13 games, they turned things around in the SEC Tournament. The Rebels took down 10-seed Texas 76-66, edged past 7-seed Georgia 76-72, and pulled off a stunning upset over 2-seed Alabama, 80-79.

On the other side, Arkansas secured the No. 3 seed and made their tournament debut on Friday night. Freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. was the hero, dropping 37 points to help the Razorbacks fend off 11-seed Oklahoma, 82-79. This victory marked Arkansas' 17th all-time win in the quarterfinals, though they hold a 7-9 record in SEC semifinals.

In their previous meeting this season, Arkansas snagged their first road win by defeating Ole Miss 94-87 in Oxford. Five Razorbacks hit double figures, with Darius Acuff Jr. leading the charge with 26 points and nine assists. Despite a late surge from the Rebels, Acuff's clutch free throws and layup sealed the deal for Arkansas.

Looking at Ole Miss, AJ Storr leads the scoring with 15.3 points per game, shooting 44.4% from the field and 35.1% from three-point range. He's been consistent in the tournament, posting scores of 18, 17, and 19 points.

Veteran forward Malik Dia is another key player, averaging 14.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. His crafty scoring was on full display with performances of 23 points against Texas and 14 points with 7 rebounds against Alabama.

French guard Ilias Kamardine adds an unpredictable element to the Rebels. Standing at 6-foot-6, he's a versatile shot-maker averaging 11.2 points, alongside 3.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds. While he shone with 16 points against Texas and Alabama, his output dipped to 8 points on 10 shots against Georgia.

As these two teams prepare to battle it out, fans can expect another intense matchup with everything on the line.
