Arizona Dominates As Arkansas Season Ends Abruptly

For Arkansas, freshman point guard Darius Acuff Jr. was the standout performer, dropping 28 points on 8-of-19 shooting. Arkansas shot 47.7% from the field but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 21.7% of their three-point attempts. In contrast, Arizona was on fire, shooting 63.8% overall and an efficient 62.5% from downtown. The Wildcats also edged out Arkansas in rebounds, assists, and points in the paint, underscoring their all-around performance.

The atmosphere in San Jose was electric as fans from both sides anticipated a thrilling contest. This matchup marked the ninth meeting between these two programs, with Arkansas leading the historical series 6-2, mostly from battles in the 1990s.
