Arizona Fans Now Know When Several Marquee Tests Will Be Spotlighted

Get ready for prime-time excitement as Arizona's men's basketball team reveals broadcast details for three marquee neutral site matchups, highlighting their ambitious nonconference slate.

Arizona’s 2026-27 nonconference slate already had plenty of sizzle. Now the Wildcats know exactly when three of the biggest neutral-site tests will hit the screen.

The season opens Nov. 2 in Las Vegas against UCLA, with tipoff set for 8 p.m. MT and TNT carrying the game.

That matchup is part of a quadrupleheader at T-Mobile Arena, and it won’t be the only Arizona game in the building that day. The Wildcats’ women’s team will face Stanford at 11:30 a.m.

MT on CBS Sports Network.

Two more Hall of Fame Series games are lined up for December, and both come with start times and TV details now attached. Arizona will meet St.

John’s at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Dec. 5, with the game scheduled for a 10 a.m. MT tip on FOX.

Then on Dec. 19, the Wildcats will take on Arkansas at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. That one is set for 4:30 p.m.

MT and will air on ESPN.

The St. John’s game is the first meeting between the programs since they played in San Francisco during the 2019-20 season. The Arkansas matchup is a rematch of last season’s Sweet 16 game, which Arizona won in San Jose.

Beyond those marquee dates, most of the Wildcats’ 2026-27 schedule still doesn’t have TV assignments or tip times. The only Big 12 games with that information so far are Arizona’s two Big Monday appearances: Feb. 8 at home against TCU and Feb. 22 at BYU.

Both are set for 7 p.m. MT on ESPN.

Arizona Offense Faces Its Biggest Identity Test Yet Against Cincinnati

Arizona is about to get a good read on itself in a Big 12 matchup that feels like a style clash as much as a conference game. The Wildcats have leaned on Noah Fifita and the passing game, with the quarterback leading the team in both passing yards and touchdowns, while Cincinnati brings a different kind of pressure with a run-first approach led by Gi'Bran Payne and Cole Tabb. Both teams are coming off wins, so this one arrives with some momentum on both sides and a chance for Arizona to keep its offensive rhythm intact against a defense built to test it.

Cincinnati also has enough balance to make life interesting, with JC French IV showing efficient play through the air even as the ground game drives the identity of the offense. For Arizona, the bigger question is how well its attack holds up if the game is forced into a different kind of tempo, one where possessions matter and every series has to answer the challenge of Cincinnati's physical approach. The Wildcats have been comfortable playing one way so far, but this matchup is the kind that can expose whether that comfort is really a strength or just a starting point. [Read more 🡒]

Arizonas Slow Start Still Looms As Young Wildcats Raise The Stakes

Brent Brennan spent part of this week looking back at Arizonas 34-24 win over Washington State, but the larger conversation still circles the way the Wildcats have opened the season. The recent surge has given the offense a little more room to breathe, and Brennan has pointed to the growth of several young players, including freshmen, as a big reason the group looks more confident and more settled as the year moves on.

For a coaching staff trying to build consistency, the early stretch still matters because it shaped the urgency around everything that has followed. Brennan also acknowledged that the defense has had its own unique challenge handling an unconventional style of play, which only adds another layer to the evaluation as Arizona tries to turn those encouraging signs into something more lasting.
