TEMPE - Arizona State Volleyball continues to raise the bar both on the court and in the classroom. Four Sun Devils - sophomore libero Faith Frame, junior middle blocker Ella Lomigora, senior outside hitter Bailey Miller, and graduate middle blocker Colby Neal - have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, a recognition that highlights not just athletic prowess, but academic excellence as well.
For Neal, it’s her second time earning this honor, while Frame, Lomigora, and Miller are first-time selections. This marks the fourth consecutive season that ASU has had multiple players earn all-district academic honors, and the fifth straight year with at least one honoree - a testament to the program’s sustained commitment to developing student-athletes who excel in every facet of college life.
To even be considered for this award, athletes must meet some serious criteria: they need to be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and contribute significantly on the court - either playing in 90% of sets or starting in at least two-thirds of the team’s matches. In other words, these aren’t just benchwarmers with good grades. These are high-impact players who are putting in the work on both sides of the equation.
Let’s break down what each of these four Sun Devils brought to the table this season - and why their names belong on this list.
Faith Frame: Defensive Backbone with a Bright Future
In her first season in Tempe, sophomore libero Faith Frame made an immediate impact. Named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Second Team, Frame was the defensive anchor for the Sun Devils, leading the team in digs and digs per set.
She closed out the season on a tear, stringing together six straight matches with double-digit digs - a stretch that showcased her consistency and court awareness. For a sophomore in her debut season at ASU, that’s the kind of performance that sets the tone for years to come.
Colby Neal: A Force in the Middle
Graduate middle blocker Colby Neal was a wall at the net all season long. She didn’t just lead ASU in blocks - she led the entire Big 12 with 171 total blocks, a number that puts her among the elite defenders in the country.
Her 151 block assists are the second-most in a single season in Sun Devil history. But Neal wasn’t just a defensive specialist - she also finished fourth on the team in kills, showing her all-around value.
Honors rolled in accordingly: AVCA All-District, All-Big 12 First Team, and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week - twice. Her second CSC Academic All-District nod just adds to a decorated collegiate resume.
Ella Lomigora: Quiet Consistency, Big Results
Junior middle blocker Ella Lomigora may not always be the flashiest name on the roster, but her impact was undeniable. She finished second on the team in blocks and ranked sixth in the Big 12 with 136 total blocks.
That’s production you can count on. Perhaps most impressively, she was one of just three players to appear in every set this season - a testament to her durability and importance to the Sun Devils’ rotation.
Lomigora’s ability to anchor the middle alongside Neal gave ASU a formidable front line that frustrated opposing hitters all year long.
Bailey Miller: The Do-It-All Veteran
Senior outside hitter Bailey Miller was the definition of versatility this season. She finished second on the team in both kills and digs, putting up 10 double-doubles - the most on the roster.
That kind of balance is rare, and it made her one of the most reliable players on the court. Over the final stretch of the season, Miller was nearly automatic, recording double-digit kills in 15 of the last 17 matches.
She also led the team in service aces with 39, placing her in the top 10 in the Big 12 in that category. Like Lomigora, she appeared in every set this season, bringing veteran leadership and a steady hand to a team that needed both.
Arizona State’s volleyball program has been turning heads for its competitiveness in the Big 12, but this kind of academic recognition speaks to something deeper - a culture that values excellence in all areas. With players like Frame, Neal, Lomigora, and Miller leading the way, it’s clear that ASU isn’t just building a strong team. They’re building a legacy.
