TEMPE - As the Sun Devil Soccer team gears up for the 2026 regular season, head coach Graham Winkworth has unveiled an exciting two-month, seven-game spring schedule that kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 28 and wraps up on Saturday, April 18.
Coach Winkworth couldn't hide his enthusiasm about the upcoming spring season. "This year is special," he shared.
"Not only do we get to play spring matches here, but we're also heading across the pond to England and Wales. We've lined up some top-notch competition, which will be invaluable in identifying key players for the Fall when the games really matter."
Winkworth is particularly thrilled about the chance to introduce the team to his roots. "I can't wait to show the team where I'm from and strengthen our bonds this season," he added.
The Sun Devils will host five matches at their practice facility in Tempe, with two international fixtures in the UK and one in Phoenix. As Winkworth enters his 10th season leading the Sun Devil women's soccer program, this trip holds personal significance. Born in Reading, Berkshire, England, Winkworth's journey began at Preston North End Football Club, not far from where the team will play.
