Jaxson Dart’s knee injury on Monday night did more than interrupt a Giants drive. It set off a wave of instant comparison after fans zeroed in on how teammates reacted in the aftermath.
The play itself came on a third-down pass attempt, when Rams defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart collided with Dart and his left knee bent at an awkward angle. Once the broadcast cut away, slow-motion replays of the hit spread quickly.
But the part that drew nearly as much attention was what happened after. Several Giants teammates were seen near Dart while he was being attended to, and viewers at home immediately noticed the difference when they compared that scene with the night before.
On Sunday, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow against the Cowboys. Video of his offensive linemen showed them glance at Daniels on the ground, then walk toward the locker room without stopping.
That contrast spread fast once Dart went down. One account put clips from both nights side by side, and the reactions came quickly.
“None of them went to Jayden’s birthday party,” one fan joked.
“Because Dart is a leader, Jayden is an egotistical child,” another claimed.

After Daniels’ elbow injury last November, Dart publicly offered support, saying, “First of all, prayers to him. You definitely hate to see that and you send prayers for him for his recovery.”
Even with all of that history, the split-screen reaction only tells part of the story. It doesn’t say everything about either player, and it only captures a few seconds from two long nights. Still, once the clips started circulating, fans weren’t letting the comparison go.
