The Utah Mammoth are bringing back Mammoth Week, and this year’s run stretches from Aug. 29 through Sept. 5 with a slate of community events across the state.
Presented by Delta Air Lines, the second annual version will feature a mix of affordable on-ice clinics and free street hockey clinics, along with other fan-friendly stops that include a pop-up shop, team-branded giveaways and more, according to NHL.com. The organization is also giving fans chances to run into some unexpected guests, including Mammoth players at select events around Utah.
The week kicks off Saturday, Aug. 29 at Red Rock Hockey in St. George, where the event runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
From there, the Mammoth will head to the George S. Eccles Ice Center in Logan on Monday, Aug. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by the Weber County Ice Sheet in Ogden on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The schedule continues Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Western Park Ice Rink in Vernal from 5 to 7 p.m., then Thursday, Sept. 3 at Peaks Ice Arena in Provo from 7 to 9 p.m. On Friday, Sept. 4, the stop is Park City Ice Arena from 6 to 8 p.m., before the week wraps up Saturday, Sept. 5 at Utah Mammoth Ice Center in Sandy from 1 to 9 p.m.
It’s the kind of grassroots push that fits what Utah is trying to do right now: grow the sport and keep building its fanbase. That’s never an easy task, especially in a place where another team already has deep roots, but Utah has clearly been making strides.

Coyotes Keep A Familiar Depth Piece In Tucson
The Tucson roster is getting a little more familiar, with winger Tyler Tullio sticking around on a one-year deal after giving the organization a useful depth option last season. For a club that leans on continuity in the minors, keeping players who already know the system can matter almost as much as any offseason splash, especially with the AHL group serving as the next stop for prospects and call-up candidates alike.
Tullios return comes as other organizations sort through their own pipeline decisions, from Avalanche goalie prospect Ilya Nabokov being lined up for the AHL Eagles behind Scott Wedgewood and Mackenzie Blackwood to Blues prospect Colin Fitzgerald planning a Providence College commitment before another OHL season.
