The Arizona Cardinals spent Tuesday off the practice field, but they still did a little roster shopping as they keep getting ready for their regular-season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Per the NFL transaction report, the team brought in six players for tryouts: four offensive linemen, a cornerback and a safety.
The linemen were Austin Deculus, Corey Robinson, Colby Sorsdal and Aamil Wagner. The defensive backs were Art Green and Jerrick Reed.
Deculus is a fifth-year veteran who entered the league as a sixth-round pick in 2022. He has been with the Houston Texans for three seasons and spent last season with the Chargers, where he played in 26 games and made six career starts, including five last season.
Robinson arrived as an undrafted rookie and spent part of the offseason with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played college football at Arkansas.
Sorsdal was a fifth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2023. He appeared in 17 games and made three starts across 2023-2024, then spent last season on injured reserve. He was also part of the Lions’ final cuts last month.
Wagner went undrafted this year out of Notre Dame, signed with the Tennessee Titans and was later released after the preseason.
Green spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants, playing in 20 games and logging more than 200 special teams snaps in each season.
Reed was a sixth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2023 and has also been with the Tennessee Titans. Over three seasons, he has played in 23 games and made one start.
Tryouts like these often lead to practice squad additions, especially when injuries start piling up.
And Arizona has a few things to monitor. Safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson is dealing with a rib injury, cornerback Will Johnson has an unknown lower-body injury, and guard Isaiah Adams is working through a knee injury.
The Cardinals will resume practice Wednesday, and that’s when any roster moves - and the next injury update - should start to come into focus.
