The Cardinals have secured a key piece of their special teams unit by re-signing Simi Fehoko to a one-year deal. This move, announced on Friday, keeps a versatile player in Arizona who has shown resilience and skill.
Fehoko, now 28, faced a challenging start last season, missing the initial 53-man roster after training camp. However, his determination paid off as he rejoined the practice squad and later earned a spot on the active roster. Unfortunately, his season was cut short in Week 10 due to a broken arm sustained in a matchup against the Seahawks.
Despite the setback, Fehoko made a notable impact in his eight games during the 2025 season. He logged a career-high 116 snaps on special teams and recorded seven tackles, showcasing his ability to contribute in crucial situations. On the offensive side, he participated in 37 snaps, although he didn't receive any targets.
As he returns, Fehoko joins a dynamic wide receivers room featuring Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and the recently acquired Kendrick Bourne. His journey began when the Cowboys selected him in the fifth round of the 2021 draft. After two seasons each with the Cowboys and Chargers, Fehoko found his way to the Cardinals, where he continues to prove his value.
This re-signing highlights the Cardinals' commitment to bolstering their special teams and maintaining depth in their roster. Fehoko's experience and tenacity make him a valuable asset as the team looks to build on their performance this coming season.
