A rough practice clip is making the rounds around the Arizona Cardinals, and it is not the kind of video any team wants attached to its name right before a Thursday game.
The short compilation shows a string of sloppy moments from practice: passes falling incomplete, balls slipping free on catches that should have been routine, and players ending up on the ground during drills. The sequence has already sparked plenty of reaction online, with the footage giving fans an ugly snapshot of what looked like early-camp inconsistency under the new coaching staff. The person who posted it even said looking away would take “significant mental effort.”
That kind of attention is the last thing the Cardinals need after a 2025 season that went off the rails. Arizona finished 3-14, dead last in the NFC West, and set a franchise record for losses in a single season. The collapse also cost Jonathan Gannon his job.
There was a brief early spark to the year. The Cardinals opened 2-0 with wins over the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, but everything unraveled after that. They went 1-14 over their final 15 games and officially missed the postseason for the fourth straight year after a Week 13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The video has only added to the chatter around the roster, with fans responding from concern to full-on doom. One visible mistake in the clip shows a ball bouncing away after a missed connection, while another has a player finishing the drill on the grass.
Arizona also officially closed the book on the Kyler Murray era in March, releasing the former No. 1 overall pick and ending a seven-year run that never quite settled into anything steady. The move marked a sharp reset for the franchise under general manager Monti Ossenfort and newly hired head coach Mike LaFleur.
Murray’s final season in Arizona was cut short after only five starts. He threw for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions before a foot injury sidelined him. Jacoby Brissett handled the rest of the year, and the team chose to shut Murray down through December.
His Cardinals tenure produced just one winning season, in 2021, along with one playoff appearance and a lopsided loss. He finished his Arizona career with a 38-48-1 record.
