Cardinals Ownership Stuns With Only 'F' in Leaked NFLPA Report Card

Cardinals' leadership faces tough scrutiny as leaked NFLPA report card reveals a disheartening 'F' grade for ownership, underscoring challenges within the franchise.

The NFL Players Association had initially decided not to release the official grades for each franchise, but those plans went awry when the grades were leaked online. The Arizona Cardinals found themselves in an unenviable spotlight, as their ownership group received the only “F” among all 32 teams. This assessment, reported by Kalyn Kahler of ESPN, places Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill under scrutiny.

The players also voiced their dissatisfaction, giving the locker room an “F-,” marking it as the only other failing grade for the team. Interestingly, the highest marks went to the head coach and position coaches, both receiving a “B+.” Despite this, Arizona made a significant change by firing Jonathan Gannon from the head coaching role this offseason.

Here’s a breakdown of the grades:

  • Treatment of Families: D+
  • Home Game Field: B
  • Food/Dining Area: C-
  • Nutritionist/Dietician: B
  • Locker Room: F-
  • Training Room: D+
  • Training Staff: B-
  • Weight Room: D+
  • Strength Coaches: B-
  • Position Coaches: B+
  • Offensive Coordinator: B-
  • Defensive Coordinator: C+
  • Special Teams Coordinator: B
  • Team Travel: C+
  • Head Coach: B+
  • General Manager: B
  • Team Ownership: F

As the 2025-26 season concludes, there's hope that Bidwill and the ownership group will address these issues to improve their standing next year. The team is entering a new chapter with a fresh head coach at the helm.

During the recent head coach search, the ownership was reportedly a sticking point, making the Cardinals one of the less appealing options for potential candidates. The uncertainty surrounding the quarterback position didn't help either. Nevertheless, the Cardinals appointed Mike LaFleur, brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, to lead the team into this new era.
