The newest Madden ratings drop is here, and the 99 Club for Madden 27 is stacked with familiar stars and a couple of first-timers who forced their way into the game’s most exclusive tier.
Six players reportedly landed the perfect 99 overall, the highest honor Madden hands out. For some, it’s a repeat stamp of greatness. For others, it’s the first time they’ve reached the top shelf.
The group includes Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Rams defensive end Myles Garrett, Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Cardinals tight end Trey McBride.
Stafford is the headliner, and for good reason. He’s in the 99 Club for the first time in his career after the best season of his life, one that ended with his first MVP award.
The 37-year-old led the NFL with 4,707 passing yards and 46 passing touchdowns, a massive year for a quarterback deep into his career. He’s back in Los Angeles for another run, with the Rams going all-in on another Super Bowl push.
Allen remains right where Madden has kept him before. The Bills star earned a 99 rating for the second straight season after another strong year that included 39 total touchdowns and another playoff trip for Buffalo.
His style has long felt tailor-made for the video game, the kind of quarterback who can turn a broken play into something absurdly clean. He turned 30 in May and is chasing another shot at getting the Bills back to the Super Bowl.
The Rams are the only team with two players in the 99 Club, and Garrett is the newest addition. Los Angeles made a major move to bring him in, sending a haul of players and picks to land the league’s premier pass rusher.
Garrett responded with a historic season, breaking the NFL sack record with 23 sacks and winning his second career Defensive Player of the Year award. This is the third time in five years he’s checked in at 99, and he hasn’t been below 98 since Madden 21.
Smith-Njigba is the breakout name in the group. He exploded in 2025, leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards while adding 119 catches and 10 touchdowns.
That season earned him his first Offensive Player of the Year award and his first 99 rating. It also came on the heels of helping the Seahawks win the franchise’s second Super Bowl, a reminder that his rise has already included the biggest stage.
Chase is back in the 99 Club for a second straight year after another dominant season for Cincinnati. He finished with 125 catches, 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns and picked up his second straight first-team All-Pro nod. The Bengals’ offense has leaned on him for years, and his connection with Joe Burrow has the kind of video-game feel that Madden loves.
McBride rounds out the list with his first trip into the 99 Club. He quietly put together a monster 2025 season, posting career highs with 126 catches, 1,239 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while earning first-team All-Pro honors at tight end. He may not play for a team that gets as much attention as some of the others on this list, but his production has pushed him firmly into the conversation as one of the best tight ends in the league.
