The Arizona Cardinals closed out what was likely their final open practice of 2026 on Sunday with the Red and White scrimmage at State Farm Stadium, and the lower bowl was packed with thousands of fans after the team’s successful trip to Canton for Hall of Fame weekend.
The two-hour session gave the crowd plenty to chew on, from a lively quarterback battle to a few notable standouts on both sides of the ball.
Among the biggest bright spots was Love, who didn’t suit up in Canton but wasted no time showing why he can be such a force. Working with the first-team offense, he flashed in every direction - slicing upfield on runs, separating in routes and making plays as a receiver. His ability to impact the game on the ground and through the air was on full display.
Carson Beck’s day came with a little more turbulence. After turning heads against Carolina, he opened Sunday’s practice with some shaky ball placement and later threw an interception, though he was hit while releasing the ball. He bounced back in a big way, though, dropping a perfect throw down the right sideline in a two-minute drill and then following it with a no-look touchdown pass.

That sequence helped turn what had been a rocky start into a strong overall day, and it fit the larger theme at quarterback: nobody really separated from the pack. Brissett had a mostly quiet outing, and while that keeps him out of the winner-or-loser bucket, he and Harrison just never found much rhythm. Harrison was targeted five or six times in team drills and came away without a catch, even though he’s been making plenty of plays throughout camp.
There was also some concern around Nolen, who left practice with an unknown injury. He appeared to be shaking his right hand during team work before exiting and not returning. It marked the second time Nolen has left a practice injured this training camp, and with his injury history last season, it naturally had people around the team on edge.

The Cardinals also got first-team reps from Elijah Jones, Kitan Crawford and Eku Leota. With safety Joey Blount placed on injured reserve and Kei'Trel Clark not dressed, Jones and Crawford had more chances to rotate into the defense. Leota, meanwhile, continues to be a name worth tracking after climbing the depth chart in preseason action.
On the offensive side, Allgeier had a rougher day when it came to one of the areas he said he was focused on: pass-catching. With Love looming behind him in the rotation, that skill matters. Sunday didn’t help his case, as he had two passes hit his hands and dropped both, including one that came with nobody around him.
Robinson, though, kept making noise. He’s had a strong camp, and Sunday was more of the same as he won one-on-one reps and kept flashing the speed-power combo that’s been getting him into the backfield. He finished with two “sacks,” and he looks like a player pushing for that next step.
And then there was the sideline fashion mix-up. The reporter on hand showed up in a navy blue polo and khaki pants and spent much of the day looking, apparently, a lot like the S.A.F.E. security staff surrounding the field.
He got mistaken for them four or five times, even taking a few jokes from workers along the way. At least the look is ready if an interview ever comes calling.

Offensive line coach Justin Frye has been encouraged by Williams adaptation and the way he has handled the speed of the game, even while acknowledging there are still technical areas to clean up. For a team that already knows who its starters are up front, Williams is giving Arizona something valuable in the background: a young lineman who looks capable of being a trustworthy backup if needed. The Cardinals kept building out their 2026 training camp roster with a pair of familiar depth additions, bringing in tight end Shawn Bowman and linebacker Eugene Asante. Bowman arrives after stops with the Orlando Storm and the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad, while Asante comes in with a longer pro trail that includes time with the Houston Gamblers and practice squad stints in Miami, Cleveland and Atlanta.
For a team like Arizona, these kinds of camp moves are less about headlines than about sorting through bodies and finding a player who can stick when the competition ramps up.
