Nick Saban’s taste in music runs wide, loud and straight through rock, country and a little bit of everything else.
The former Alabama coach now has his full 60-song playlist out in the open after his daughter, Kristen Saban, put it on Spotify under the title “Nick on the AUX.” Kristen Saban shared it on social media ahead of the ESPN original “Saban” documentary, which is set to be released Thursday.
If you were wondering what fills four hours and 32 minutes, this is it: a playlist stacked with familiar staples and a few surprises. The Rolling Stones and the Eagles show up often, which fits Saban’s long-standing affection for both bands. But the list stretches well beyond that, mixing in The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Elton John, Toby Keith and more.
The playlist opens with “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones and rolls through a string of heavy hitters: “Baba O’Riley” by The Who, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Start Me Up” by The Rolling Stones, “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival and “Eminence Front” by The Who.
From there, the country-rock lane takes over in places with Eagles tracks like “Take it Easy,” “Desperado,” “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” “Take It to the Limit” and “Already Gone,” alongside “Listen to the Music” by The Doobie Brothers and “Reelin’ In The Years” by Steely Dan.
Saban’s playlist also leans into a mix of classic singalongs and Southern staples: “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver, “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going To Be A Long, Long Time)” and “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John, and “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker.
The back half keeps the same range going, with “Africa” by TOTO, “The Business” by Tiësto, “Spirit In The Sky” by Norman Greenbaum, “The Boys of Summer” by Don Henley, “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John and “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” by Tears for Fears.
There’s no shortage of high-energy crowd-pleasers, either: “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses, “Stayin’ Alive” by Bee Gees and “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond all make the cut, along with “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones and “Born in the U.S.A.” by Bruce Springsteen.
The list keeps moving through “Born On The Bayou” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “Life’s Been Good” by Joe Walsh, “Bennie and The Jets” by Elton John, “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash and a run of country songs from Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, including “Courtesy Of The Red, White and Blue,” “American Kids,” “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” “Made in America,” “Who’s Your Daddy?,” “I Like It, I Love It” and “Something Like That.”
Near the end, the playlist adds “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith, “Up Around The Bend” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “Carry on Wayward Son” by Kansas, “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top, “Come Together” by The Beatles, “All Along the Watchtower” by Jimi Hendrix, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Blue Öyster Cult, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam, “Higher” by Creed, “Rocky Mountain Way” by Joe Walsh, “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by The Verve, “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman, “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash and “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I.

Alabama Faces Key Availability Calls Ahead Of Georgia Showdown
With the Southeastern Conference now requiring injury reports for conference games across football, basketball and baseball, Alabamas weekly lead-up to Georgia carries a little more public intrigue than usual. Coach Kalen DeBoer offered a snapshot of where several players stand as the Crimson Tide prepare for one of the biggest games on the schedule, with tight end Josh Ford still working back from arm surgery and right tackle Jayvin James trending toward a return.
The rest of the report leaves Alabama with some decisions to monitor as the week goes on, since a handful of players are still listed as questionable or out for the season. The SEC-mandated availability update is set to keep changing as kickoff gets closer, so the Tides final status report could shape how they line up against Georgia and how much flexibility DeBoer has on both sides of the ball. Jalen Hurts Faces Mounting Pressure After Eagles Offensive Line Shakeup
The Eagles offensive line has entered a period of transition, and Jalen Hurts is now being asked to steady everything around it. Lane Johnsons retirement came shortly after he was scratched from a game against the Los Angeles Rams, and the front five took another hit when Philadelphia dealt center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens for draft picks. For a quarterback who has long been tied to protecting the structure of the offense, the changes carry obvious weight.
Hurts addressed the reshaped line publicly and said he believes the group can still get better under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. For Alabama fans who followed Hurts from his college days, it is another reminder of how often his value is measured not just by production, but by how well he can navigate uncertainty around him. The Eagles are trying to rebuild some stability in a suddenly different environment, and Hurts will be central to whether that happens quickly enough. [Read more 🡒]
