Derrick Henry Keeps Building An All Time Case Alabama Fans Love

Derrick Henry's latest touchdown for the Ravens propels him into exclusive NFL company, sharing elite status with only two other legends.

Derrick Henry didn’t need a big Ravens win to make a little more NFL history.

The former Alabama star found the end zone once Sunday afternoon in Buffalo, and that one score carried real weight even in a lopsided 36-10 loss to the Bills. Henry’s 2-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter was Baltimore’s only touchdown of the day, but it also pushed him into rare territory among the league’s all-time great backs.

On a 1st-and-goal snap, Henry powered across the goal line standing up, just as he so often has throughout his career. The NFL credited the score as the one that made him only the third player ever - alongside Hall of Famers Marcus Allen and Marshall Faulk - to reach 40 or more rushing touchdowns with two different franchises.

That milestone adds another line to Henry’s resume in just his third season with the Ravens. Before arriving in Baltimore, he spent eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans from 2016-23 and piled up 90 rushing touchdowns in the regular season.

Sunday’s score also gave Henry another place in the record book. His 136th career touchdown tied him with Marshall Faulk for seventh-most in NFL history.

Henry, who led Alabama to a national championship in 2015 and won the Heisman Trophy that same year, has kept stacking up landmark moments well into his NFL career. Even on a rough day for Baltimore, he still managed to give the Ravens something to hang onto - and added another milestone to a career that keeps climbing.

Alabama Just Got An Early Reality Check For LSU Showdown

The first betting line for Alabamas Week 10 trip to LSU already says plenty about how close this rivalry matchup is expected to be. Both teams are ranked, both are sitting on similar records, and both come in off bye weeks, which only adds to the sense that this one could carry real weight in the College Football Playoff race and the SEC title picture.

Even with Alabama holding a 58-27-5 edge in the series and a three-game winning streak in the rivalry, the opening number has LSU favored by 4 points. For a game this early on the 2026 schedule, it is a reminder that the Tigers are expected to bring plenty of punch at home, and that Alabama may already have a little extra motivation as the matchup starts to take shape. Alabama Just Added More Pressure To A Huge Stretch For Nate Oats

Zion Greens commitment gives Alabama basketball another headline in the 2027 class, and it arrives at a time when Nate Oats could use every bit of momentum he can get. The five-star power forward joins Chase Lumpkin in that group, a sign that Alabama is still landing premium talent while the program continues to sit near the top of the national conversation. The Crimson Tide also climbed one spot to No. 9 in the AP Poll, keeping the profile high as the season moves deeper into a critical stretch.

The timing matters because the pressure around Alabama is only growing. The Tide opened as a 3.5-point underdog against LSU before the line swung heavily in the Tigers favor, and there are always ripple effects around recruiting when coaching changes hit elsewhere, including Florida State moving on from Mike Norvell. Even with Alabama soccers regular-season finale loss to Mississippi State, the broader athletic department remains in the spotlight, and Oats now has another prized recruit attached to a stretch where every result seems to carry extra weight. Alabamas LSU Buildup Just Got More Complicated Up Front

With LSU looming in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Alabamas injury picture up front and across the roster is still taking shape. Kalen DeBoer said several players are moving in the right direction in their recoveries, including Zabien Brown, Ryan Coleman-Williams, EJ Crowell, Racin Delgatty and Terrance Green, with each at a different stage of workouts and contact.

The more immediate concern is left guard Will Sanders, who is expected to miss time after ankle surgery. For an Alabama team heading into one of the seasons biggest road tests, any shuffle along the line can matter, and the next few days will help show how much depth the Tide will need to lean on in a game that already carries plenty of weight.
