Auburn has a commitment from Donivan Moore, but the 2027 four-star defensive lineman is still hearing plenty from other programs.
Moore, who plays at Bessemer City High School in Alabama, said Alabama and North Carolina are the schools keeping the pressure on him right now. “I would definitely say Alabama and North Carolina,” Moore told Touchdown Auburn. “That’s about it right now.”
The Crimson Tide have made sure Moore knows the recruiting isn’t stopping just because he already pledged to Auburn. Alabama defensive line coach Freddie Roach told him as much soon after the commitment.
“He (Roach) told me just because I’m committed, he’s not going to stop recruiting me,” said Moore. “I respect a man like that.”
Even with that attention, Moore said his connection with Auburn remains strong.
“They’re very loyal to me,” Moore said. “I’m loyal to them. I feel like that’s gonna be home for me.”
For now, Moore expects to be around Auburn plenty this fall. He’s not sure yet whether he’ll make any other campus trips during the season, but he does know where he’ll be on Saturdays.
“I know for a fact I’ll be at all of Auburn home games this season,” said Moore. “I’m not sure yet I’ll be taking any other school visits.”
Whether Alabama or North Carolina can land him on campus later this fall is still an open question.
At 6-foot-4 and 273 pounds, Moore brings strength at the point of attack and length that helps him turn and chase the football. He’s regarded as one of the nation’s top 2027 defensive line prospects.
