Alabama’s latest injury report for Saturday’s trip to Tennessee includes several familiar names, with three starters highlighted as the Crimson Tide prepare for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff in Knoxville.
The Southeastern Conference’s mandatory availability reports, introduced in 2024 for conference games in football, basketball and baseball, will again track who is in, who is limited and who is out ahead of No. 6 Alabama’s fifth SEC game of the 2026 season against No.
14 Tennessee on Oct. 17.
Wide receiver Coleman-Williams is the biggest question mark after leaving last Saturday’s loss to Georgia with a knee injury shortly before halftime. He returned to begin the second half, but later took a shot to the head and needed help getting off the field.
Kalen DeBoer said Monday there was a "pretty good chance" Coleman-Williams would not be available against Tennessee because of the knee and head issues, and the coach added Wednesday on Hey Coach that he doesn’t expect him to play. DeBoer also said, "He was trying to get to probably the bye week, just with some other things that he had to work through that probably would've limited him this week anyway."
Center Racin Delgatty also came out of the Georgia game banged up, and DeBoer described him as day-to-day while saying he would keep being evaluated. Alabama is hopeful Delgatty can be ready by Saturday. He has started all six games at center this season after transferring from Cal Poly, but if he cannot go, Mal Waldrep would step in.
Terrance Green’s situation also bears watching. The nose tackle limped off late in the first half against Georgia and did not return, and Alabama’s defense felt it in the second half as the Bulldogs ran effectively. Green re-aggravated an injury from the previous week and has been limited in practice.
Two edge rushers, Justin Hill and Desmond Umeozulu, have already missed the Tide’s last three games. Hill is dealing with a lower-extremity injury, while Umeozulu has turf toe.
Both are listed on the availability report, with DeBoer saying on Oct. 5 that Umeozulu would need "probably a couple more weeks," and Hill would "be back this season, but more than likely not this week." Hill, though, is probable on the initial report.
Freshman defensive back Nick Sherman, a JUCO addition, also remains sidelined after hurting himself during a fall scrimmage and will have to wait for his debut.
Jeremiah Beaman and Cayden Jones are also on the report, but both are done for the 2026 season. Beaman tore his ACL in practice about two weeks before the opener, and it was the second straight year he suffered that injury after tearing his ACL in Week 1 of the 2025 season. DeBoer announced Jones’ season-ending situation on Sept. 21 but did not reveal the junior’s diagnosis.

Alabama Sent A Strong Message After That Ugly Georgia Incident
The aftermath of Alabamas game with Georgia turned ugly for reasons that had nothing to do with the scoreboard. A video circulating after the contest showed an Alabama fan slapping Georgia linebacker Raylen Wilson across the helmet, a moment that quickly drew attention for all the wrong reasons and put the program in the spotlight beyond the field.
Alabama athletics moved fast once the individual was identified, handing down a lifetime ban from future Alabama sporting events. The school also publicly addressed the incident, making clear that conduct like that will not be tolerated, a message meant as much for the fan base as anyone else watching what has become an increasingly scrutinized sideline and stadium atmosphere. Alabama Is Testing How Real Its Auburn Flip Push Really Is
Alabamas 2027 class is already taking shape with 15 commitments, and the current ranking sits 34th nationally as the staff leans into a smaller haul after back-to-back large classes. The Tide still have work to do up front, though, especially on the defensive line, where theyre continuing to circle a couple of targets who could change the look of the group before the cycle settles in.
One of the more interesting names is Auburn commit MJ Evans, whose scheduled visit to Tuscaloosa on Oct. 24 will offer a real gauge of how serious Alabamas push has become. The Tide are also involved with former Memphis commit Joshua Lane, who has visits lined up for Alabama and Tennessee, giving this next stretch a chance to shape whether the class stays compact or gets a late boost from a few key additions. Sabans Coaching Influence Just Showed Up In An Unlikely Alabama Story
Ryder Burtons latest moment in the spotlight came in a place Alabama fans dont always expect to be looking, with UABs quarterback helping guide the Blazers to a 30-17 overtime win against East Carolina. Burtons night included a 97-yard touchdown drive to force overtime, but it was his postgame comments and the little details around the game that linked the story back to Tuscaloosa in an unexpected way.
Burton also drew attention for wearing a backwards baseball cap during the overtime coin toss after helmet equipment issues, a quirky scene that stood out in a tense finish. Afterward, he talked about coach Alex Mortensen and mentioned watching a documentary tied to Mortensens former coach, Nick Saban, a reminder that Sabans coaching tree still shows up in odd, easy-to-miss places around the state.
