Alabama’s return home this Saturday comes with a familiar kind of pressure: an SEC matchup that figures to be tight from start to finish. Texas A&M is back on the schedule for the first time since 2023, and the latest College Football 27 simulation expects the Crimson Tide to have to grind for every inch in Tuscaloosa.
Roll Tide Wire has been using the EA Sports College Football 27 game to simulate Alabama’s games this season, and the results have lined up neatly so far. The video game is a perfect 7-0 when it comes to predicting Alabama’s games in 2026, and this week it sees another narrow Tide win.
The simulation finished with Alabama edging Texas A&M 20-17.
It wasn’t a comfortable night for Alabama in the mock game. The Tide were down 14-10 heading into the fourth quarter before taking over in the final 15 minutes, outscoring the Aggies 10-3 down the stretch to pull it out.
The defensive side of the ball played a major role in the simulated win. Alabama picked off Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed twice, including a late interception by safety Bray Hubbard in the fourth quarter.
The run game also showed up in a big way. In the simulation, both Keelon Russell and Daniel Hill came close to 100 rushing yards.
Alabama and Texas A&M are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC Saturday at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama Offensive Concerns Just Got More Personal Around Keelon Russell
The conversation around Alabamas offense got a little more pointed after the loss to Tennessee, with former quarterback Jake Coker publicly questioning how well Keelon Russell is grasping the system. Cokers comments landed in the middle of an uneasy stretch for the Crimson Tide offense, which has struggled to get the run game going and has had trouble executing the run-pass option game cleanly enough to keep defenses honest.
Texas A&M now becomes the next chance to show the issues are being addressed rather than just explained away. For Alabama, the timing matters because the offense needs a sharper rhythm and a better feel for what it wants to be, and Russells command of the scheme is suddenly part of a larger, more personal discussion about whether the Tide can get back on track. Alabama Faces A Brutal Late Twist Before Texas A&M Showdown
Alabamas week leading into the Texas A&M matchup has taken on a different look after the latest injury report brought a few more uneasy updates. Racin Delgatty, Zabien Brown and EJ Crowell were all downgraded to doubtful, adding to a list that already includes confirmed absences for star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams and defensive lineman Terrance Green.
For a Tide team trying to keep its footing in a critical conference game, the timing is far from ideal. Texas A&M is getting a healthier look of its own, with Mario Craver and DJ Hicks upgraded to probable, which only sharpens the contrast between the two sides as kickoff nears and Alabama waits to see how much of its depth will actually be available. Alabama Faces A Defining Test As Playoff Hopes Start To Slip
Consecutive losses have put Alabama in a spot it is not used to occupying, and now the No. 13 Crimson Tide return home with their College Football Playoff picture starting to narrow. Texas A&M comes to Tuscaloosa with the kind of physical defense and disruptive presence that can make this game feel less like a midseason checkpoint and more like a fork in the road for a team trying to steady itself.
A key part of the night could come on the perimeter, where Alabama cornerback Zabien Brown is questionable and Texas A&M wide receiver Isaiah Horton, a recent transfer from Alabama, adds an extra layer to the matchup. The Tide also need more from quarterback Keelon Russell after recent struggles, because another uneven performance would only make the pressure heavier against a defense built to make opponents work for every inch.
