Alabama Football Sends Most Players to Super Bowl LX This Year

Alabama once again flexes its NFL pipeline with more players in Super Bowl LX than any other college program.

Alabama Football Leaves Its Mark on Super Bowl LX with Seven Former Players Set to Suit Up

When Super Bowl LX kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m. CT, Alabama football will once again be front and center on the NFL’s biggest stage. The Crimson Tide will have seven former players suiting up between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots - more than any other college program represented in this year’s championship game.

Let’s break it down.

Seattle’s Crimson Core

The Seahawks feature four Alabama alumni, and the headliner is cornerback Josh Jobe, who’s coming off the best season of his young NFL career. The former undrafted free agent has carved out a starting role in Seattle’s secondary, starting 15 of 16 games this season. He’s posted career highs in both tackles (54) and pass deflections (12), showing the kind of physical, instinctive play that made him a standout in Tuscaloosa.

Joining Jobe on Seattle’s roster is veteran defensive lineman Jarran Reed, who played for the Tide in 2014 and 2015. Reed brings playoff experience and a steady presence up front, anchoring the Seahawks’ defensive line with the same grit and motor that defined his college days.

On the offensive side, Seattle also boasts two recent Alabama products: quarterback Jalen Milroe and fullback Robbie Ouzts, both of whom were with the Tide through the 2024 season. While Milroe has yet to see significant snaps under center in the NFL, his dual-threat potential and leadership qualities have made him an intriguing developmental piece for Seattle. Ouzts, meanwhile, contributes as a physical blocker and special teams asset - the kind of glue guy every Super Bowl team needs.

Patriots Powered by the Tide

Over on the Patriots’ sideline, Christian Barmore leads a trio of Alabama alums. The former All-American has become a disruptive force on New England’s defensive front, racking up 168 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 44 quarterback hits, and 15.5 sacks over his five NFL seasons. Barmore’s blend of power and quickness makes him a matchup nightmare - and a key figure in the Patriots' game plan heading into Sunday.

Rounding out New England’s Alabama contingent are tight end CJ Dippre and linebacker Anfernee Jennings. Dippre, who joined the Patriots after finishing his college career in 2024, is still finding his footing at the pro level but brings size and versatility to the tight end room.

Jennings, a steady contributor since entering the league, brings toughness and experience to the Patriots' linebacker corps. His ability to set the edge and contribute in multiple packages gives New England flexibility on defense.

Crimson Tide Dominance

With seven total players in Super Bowl LX, Alabama leads all college programs in representation - two more than any other school. LSU, Auburn, Texas, Missouri, Ole Miss, and South Carolina also have multiple players in the game, but none can match the Crimson Tide’s depth.

It’s another reminder of Alabama’s status as a true NFL pipeline. From undrafted gems like Jobe to first-round talents like Barmore, the Tide continue to produce pros who not only make rosters - they make an impact.

So when the confetti falls on Sunday night, odds are it’ll land on at least one former Alabama standout. And for a program that’s long prided itself on “preparing players for the next level,” that’s just business as usual.
