Alabama Commit Trent Stuns Fans by Taking on a New Role

Trent Seaborn's commitment to Alabama has transformed him into an unexpected recruiting powerhouse, drawing in top talent alongside his own promising career.

In the ever-competitive world of college football recruiting, programs are always on the lookout for an edge. Enter Trent Seaborn, a four-star quarterback who’s not just committed to Alabama but is actively shaping its recruiting landscape.

Seaborn, originally from Hawaii and now hailing from Alabaster, AL, has a unique backstory. His journey to Alabama was influenced by Galu Tagovailoa, father of Crimson Tide legend Tua Tagovailoa. This connection helped pave Seaborn’s path from the Aloha State to the heart of college football.

After receiving an offer from Nick Saban in 2023, Seaborn made his allegiance clear with a firm commitment to Alabama, bypassing the usual tour of official visits to other schools. Instead, he’s channeling his energy into recruiting top talent to join him in Tuscaloosa.

“I’m fully committed to Alabama,” Seaborn shared. “Instead of visiting other schools, I’m focused on bringing the best players to Alabama.”

Seaborn’s efforts are already making waves. He’s targeting key recruits like Monshun Sales, affectionately nicknamed ‘Bama,’ and offensive linemen such as Maxwell Hiller and Kennedy Brown. Sales, in particular, has caught the attention of Alabama’s staff, with strong predictions of him joining the Tide.

Sales, an Alabama native and lifelong fan, has a visit scheduled for May 29, further fueling speculation about his potential commitment.

Despite the retirement of Nick Saban, Alabama’s recruiting prowess remains strong. The program continues to attract top quarterback talents like Keelon Russell, Jett Thomalla, and now Seaborn, with Elijah Haven also in their sights.

Seaborn won’t don the Crimson Tide jersey until 2027, but his proactive approach is already demonstrating the leadership and dedication that could make him a standout player in the years to come.
