Alabama Commit Stuns Fans With Multiple Visits Planned Elsewhere

Alabama faces uncertainty in their 2027 recruiting class as top commit Jabarrius "Chicken" Garror explores other options, highlighting the need for a renewed recruiting push.

Alabama's recruiting rollercoaster under Kalen DeBoer is nothing new. Despite slow starts, DeBoer has consistently turned the tide with impressive summer surges, landing Top 5 classes year after year.

As we look at 2027, the Crimson Tide is off to another slow beginning with just four commitments. However, their strong ties with top recruits suggest another stellar class could be on the horizon.

Yet, there's a potential snag in the plan. Jabarrius "Chicken" Garror, Alabama's top-ranked recruit for 2027, seems to be wavering in his commitment. Committed since summer 2024, Garror, a standout from Mobile, isn't shutting the door on exploring other options.

He's lined up visits to Texas A&M and Texas in June, with an official visit to Alabama later that month. Florida State and Auburn are also on his radar, though dates are still up in the air.

Garror also has a visit planned with Florida State & Auburn but not a confirmed date.

His stance with Alabama is raising eyebrows, not because of the visits themselves-those are pretty standard-but due to his recent comments about his commitment.

“It’s still the same with Bama. I love the community and coaches, but I’m still looking for the right fit to provide the things I need as a player," Garror said.

This statement hints at uncertainty, suggesting his commitment might not be as firm as it once seemed. For DeBoer and his staff, securing Garror's place in Alabama's class is becoming a top priority. While Alabama remains the frontrunner for the talented 4-star EDGE, there's work to be done to ensure he dons the Crimson Tide jersey.
