Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard is officially headed to Mobile.
The senior pass-catcher has accepted his invitation to the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl, joining a growing group of Crimson Tide standouts set to showcase their skills in front of NFL scouts at one of the premier pre-draft events in college football. With Bernard now on board, Alabama has five players confirmed for the all-star game, scheduled for January 31 at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
Bernard’s inclusion is no surprise to anyone who’s followed Alabama’s offense this season. At 6-foot-1 and 204 pounds, the Henderson, Nevada native has been the go-to target in Tuscaloosa, leading the Tide in catches (57), receiving yards (762), and touchdowns (7) heading into Friday’s College Football Playoff opener against Oklahoma. He’s been a steady, explosive presence in the passing game, offering a reliable option in clutch moments and showing the kind of route-running polish and body control that translates well to the next level.
His journey to Alabama has been anything but linear. Bernard began his college career at Michigan State, transferred to Washington, and ultimately followed head coach Kalen DeBoer to Alabama ahead of the 2024 season.
That decision has paid off. In DeBoer’s system, Bernard has flourished, proving he can thrive in a pro-style offense and produce against top-tier competition.
He’ll be joined in Mobile by four other Alabama teammates: running back Jam Miller, linebackers Deontae Lawson and Justin Jefferson, and defensive lineman Tim Keenan. That group represents a strong cross-section of Alabama’s talent on both sides of the ball - and a reminder that even in a year of transition, the Tide are still sending elite prospects to the NFL pipeline.
Beyond the Alabama contingent, the 2026 Senior Bowl roster is already shaping up to feature a deep pool of talent with ties to the state of Alabama. Auburn will be represented by offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright and defensive end Keyron Crawford.
Lee Hunter, a defensive lineman from Texas Tech and Blount High School alum, is also set to participate, as is Clemson edge rusher T.J. Parker (Central Phenix City) and Louisville wide receiver/return man Caullin Lacy (Faith Academy).
Other notable names locked in for Senior Bowl week include Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, Baylor tight end Michael Trigg, Florida center Jake Slaughter, LSU wide receiver Barion Brown, Missouri defensive end Zion Young, and Texas A&M cornerback Will Lee. It’s a diverse group of prospects - from Power Five standouts to small-school risers - all looking to elevate their draft stock under the eyes of NFL personnel.
As always, more names will be added in the lead-up to game week, but the early roster already promises a high level of competition and plenty of storylines to watch.
Kickoff for the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl is set for 1:30 p.m. CT on January 31, with live coverage on NFL Network.
