Luka Doncic may have been in street clothes for the Lakers’ preseason meeting with the Golden State Warriors, but he still found a way to become part of the night.
During a first-quarter break, Doncic noticed a fan in his jersey cutting loose to an NSYNC song, and the moment quickly turned into a small viral scene. After watching the dance moves, Doncic acknowledged the fan and appeared to say, “He's good,” a simple two-word reaction that fit the moment perfectly.

This was the second straight preseason game against the Warriors that Doncic sat out. He is still working back from a hamstring injury that lingered from the playoffs, though he has looked sharp in the minutes he has played this preseason.
Lakers coach JJ Reddick said there was “no injury” to worry about when explaining the decision to hold him out again on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Los Angeles has one more preseason game left against the Denver Nuggets before opening the regular season against the Warriors on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Even with the hamstring issue, Doncic enters this season coming off what can fairly be called the best year of his career. He played 64 games and started all of them during the 2025-26 regular season, posting 33.5 points per game, his highest average since the 2023-24 season with the Dallas Mavericks. He also added 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.
With LeBron James gone, Doncic is now the clear face of the Lakers. The team is aiming to get beyond the Western Conference Semifinals in 2026 after barely getting past the Houston Rockets following a near collapse of a 3-0 series lead, then being swept by the then-reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Bronny James Is Back In The Spotlight For An Ugly New Reason
Bronny James found himself back in the spotlight Tuesday night for a reason no young player wants. During NBCs pregame coverage of the Knicks-Sixers game, comedian Tracy Morgan took a critical shot at him, and the remark spread quickly online as the reaction turned into a fresh round of debate on social media.
For the Lakers, the timing is an unwelcome distraction as the family name keeps drawing extra attention around the league. LeBron James scored 14 points in Philadelphias 106-100 win over New York, and Bronnys team now turns its attention to the Golden State Warriors, with the noise around him likely to follow right along. Warriors Suddenly Face A Porzingis Problem They May Not Solve Soon
Kristaps Porzingis has become one of the more complicated names in Golden States orbit after signing a two-year extension with the Warriors, only to recently step away because of an autoimmune disorder called POTS. The teams interest in adding him was clear when it locked in the deal, but the on-court portion of that plan has been slowed by a health situation that has left his basketball future uncertain.
Golden State has started to look around for trade possibilities, but any movement appears distant at best. For now, the more likely outcome is that the Warriors keep Porzingis on the roster while his situation develops, leaving them to balance roster planning with a far less certain timeline than they expected when they made the extension. Luka Already Has A Lakers Problem Warriors Fans Will Notice
Luka Doncics first look in a Lakers uniform already came with a familiar edge. In his preseason debut, he picked up a technical foul, a small moment on paper but one that fits a larger pattern that has followed him throughout his career. He has made it clear he wants to lead this team and be out there for every game this season, giving the Lakers a star presence and a clear voice from the start.
The concern, as always, is whether that intensity stays pointed in the right direction. Doncic has a history of arguing with officials, and it once caught up to him when a technical foul total pushed him into a suspension. For a Lakers team trying to build around his talent and durability, keeping that frustration from becoming a recurring issue may matter just as much as anything he does with the ball. [Read more 🡒]
